It looks SOOO good! I can't believe we have to wait until summer.

EEEEK! I'm not really a movie person but I plan on my first ever trip-to-a-movie-on-the-opening-day to be this one.
Can't wait!! I hate that it isn't coming out in November. What was the reason for that?
They weren't ready or wanted to tortue us or something. IDK.
The film would have been ready no problem, but there's another strike in the offing or something, and if Warner had given us 'Harry Potter' now, they would have been facing the frightening prospect of having no surefire moneyspinner come next summer. So seeing as they know they'll be getting hordes of slathering fangirls in for 'Twilight', they figured it would be okay to not make as much this winter in the name of actually making something next summer.
Oh, movies. XP
I believe the overwhelming success of The Dark Knight forced WB to push this movie to 2009. If they had had all the revenue from TDK and HP6 in 2008, then 2009 would have looked comparatively awful for them.
Wow this looks really good. Can't wait till the summer. I loved the bit at the end!
This does look really good. I thought I was way past my HP stage. The movies tend to excel where the books are weak, and vicey versey. I think this will be a case of both movie and book being excellent.
Seeing as I am the biggest Harry Potter fan in the entire universe (um... let me put it this way-- I've written parodies of the entire cast recordings of Phantom, Les Mis, Sweeney Todd, Hairspray, High School Musical, and Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band that are Harry Potter themed), I almost fell out of my chair when I saw this. Seeing as I hate Twilight more than nearly anyone in the galaxy, I'm still really not pleased that we have to wait until July.
I'm really looking forward to all the 'young Voldemort' stuff. I am NOT looking forward to Emma Watson's eyebrow dance.
Emma Watson probably won't have the acting opportunities outside of HP that Dan and Rupert have had. She's not the strongest actress--her scenes at the end of the 4th movie were cringeworthy.
Yeah, but she's pretty, so the film industry doesn't care... she's in a bunch of upcoming movies, unfortunately.
I think Matthew Lewis, who plays Neville, is the strongest actor of the bunch.
The funniest thing Hermione did was in the... fourth movie, I think when she kept saying, "You need to tell Sirius that your scar's been hurting!" and her eyebrows did the STRANGEST things. She belongs on that weird facial expressions thread.

That trailer was amazing. I'm dying to see this.
Emma Watson acts with her eyebrows, she always has. It doesn't seem like she wants to continue acting after HP, she's been touring the east coast Ivy schools for the last few weeks. She's actually Hermione-level-intelligent, so she won't have to act anymore.

"she won't have to act anymore."
Please - she won't have to do ANYTHING she doesn't want to - ever again.
It took me awhile to warm to the film series, being such a fan of Rowling's work. But, after I was able to view it as a seperate entity, I've enjoyed them more and more each time. This trailer really was pretty exciting - and just how cute IS Mr. Radcliff?
Looks AMAZING
Can't wait!!!
This trailer looks absolutely amazing.
I read a while ago that the attack on hogwarts at the end has been removed from the movie ... if I remember correctly isn't that were [insert name] is suppose to [insert verb]?
Edited so not to spoil it for anyone.
(If you guessed 'Nancy Pelosi' and 'dance' then you're very close.)

AAAAah seriously. I thought I would be okay with having to wait til summer, but the trailer is just making me super anxious.
Okay, does anyone know what the scene with the burning house might be? That's not supposed to be Hogwarts, is it? Or the one with Harry running through the tall grass? I can't figure it out because my memory of book 6 is a bit fuzzy, and it's driving me CRAZY!
That scene with Dumbledore on the top of the mountain (or whatever it was) with the wind blowing and him waving the wand -- did it remind anyone else of a scene from The Ten Commandments?
There are two scenes with burning houses. One is an added scene where the Weasley's house is attacked, the other is Hagrid's hut near the end, I believe.
