OH i LOOOOVe me some sour starburst! we were doing "The Pajama Game" and i am one of the dances in Hernando's Hideaway... so, i have like 25 minutes from my first scene in act 2 to Hernandos so i was out in the hall, chewing the cud, eating some sour starburts when suddenly my dance partner slides in on her heels and stage whispers "ssssam! we've gotttta dance!" now, i couldn't chew the starburts because it was new and it would've taken forever. i couldn't swallow it because it was too big at that stage. So i just tucked it under my tongue and went out and did my dance. Enjoying the sour burning sensation from under my tongue.
But it's not over. Right after the dance i have a line "HEY BUDDY, DIS AIN'T POOPSIE!" and i didn't have time to get my starburst chewed, but i couldn't speak with it in my mouth without it popping out. So, as soon as we got to our place. I turned, back to the audience and worked my jaw like crazy chewing that starburst. I swallowed it just in time to say my line. Thought it was all over my braces.
