Scissor Sisters are set to release their new album, Magic Hour, on May 28th! Really digging their newest single, Only the Horses. Wasn't a huge fan of Shady Love introduced in January, but this song sounds like they are circling back to the success of Ta-Dah!

I'm psyched. I loved the last album but it sounded like a farewell to me. And then a certain Lady had them open on her tour and they seemed so rejuvenated.

Very excited--I loved their Stuart Price album, particularly the Moroder-ish last half (Sex and Violence, etc).

How do you mean a farewell? I saw them live twice in the two months after the release (and then again their mini concrt when I was in SF and saw Tales of the City), and they seemed to have more energy than ever.

I know I am totally projecting it, but I felt that the third album seemed to reflect that though they were HUGE in Britain, they couldn't break through in the US. I remember thinking by the time of the "Fire With Fire" video it was a make it or break it attempt for them. I'm not saying they didn't have energy for the tour, I saw them in a club and they were great. But I got the feeling that had reached a frustrating plateau. I fully expected them to announce a break-up after the tour. And then came Gaga.
