"Another Senator Kennedy? The crazy speculation about Hillary Clinton's Senate seat may not be so crazy after all. A Democrat who would know tells ABC News that New York governor David Paterson has talked to Caroline Kennedy about taking the seat, which was once held by her uncle, Robert F. Kennedy. It’s not exactly shocking that Paterson would reach out to one of the most highly respected public figures in New York, but this is: Sources say Kennedy is considering it, and has not ruled out coming to Washington to replace Hillary Clinton in the Senate."
Another Senator Kennedy?
It seemed that anyone being senator from New York would be an anticlimax after Senator Hillary Clinton, but Senator Caroline Kennedy would be nothing short of FABULOUS.

And a natural. She's a terrific lady. I've met her twice, and both times I was bowled over by how SMART and down-to-earth she is.
Sounds like a great idea to me.
A great idea. But does she really want to go into the swampland of politics as an actual legislative member? I think she finds being in the "backrooms" easier and definately more private something she has always been very careful to maintain.
It'll be interesting to watch.
Well, I would assume that if it's offered to her and she does not want it, she will simply turn it down.
Who knew there were backrooms involved?
Hats off to the Dems if they can pull off this one.
Sorry Jeanine Pirro; it just ain't in the cards for you babe.
Pirro is too busy now making money in her new Greg Mathis consulted TV court show.

Trade her for Al Franken here in Minnesota.
And she's actually a New York resident!
*cough*
I think it's a fabulous idea.
I have always loved Caroline Kennedy and I think she would do a great job. My only concern is she's not a very good speaker, almost shy in fact. Her recent high profile and support of Obama kind of surprised me, but perhaps now that her children are older, she will be the next Kennedy (Schlossberg) with White House aspirations someday???
PJ, for you it can be the front rooms. But then you'd ask "what are they fronting for?" so same diff.
I'd like some backroom action with Senator Russ Feingold.
Can we magically make Debbie Wasserman-Schultz a NY resident and give the seat to her?
"And she's actually a New York resident!

I think it's a fabulous idea. "
Speaking as a native NY'er... My sentiments exactly.

While this is not on topic, when I see the name Caroline Kennedy I am reminded of the time back in 1962 when my college Men's Glee Club visited Washington. After a tour of the White House, it was the bright idea of the conductor to sing "Thank Heaven for Little Girls" from the yard, looking up to Caroline's room. Her Nanny held her up so she could see the Glee Club. The conductor made sure that the local paper in Rochester, NY got the story. Anything for publicity.
Are there still college glee clubs?
