After yesterdays embarrasment in Cleveland the phrase "Stick A Fork In Them - They're done" seems appropriate
They have 2 decent starting pitchers & 2 or may 3 good in the Pen. The rest of the pitching is from hunger
Despite Willie Randolph, the Mets are winning due maily to a weak division. they will make the playoffs but be eliminated soon after. Imagine Scott Kazmir as # 3 starter. ThAt trade goes down in infamy with the Nolan Ryan trade. Hopefully Minaya will not panic & start trading away his future again. Wonder how he missed giving up David Wright for some washed up journeyman player

Let's hear it for the Mets!
They really need to stop spending all of their money on run producers.
Although, I guess you could consider the majority of the pitching staff run producers...
Randolph has no clue
I agree watching Art Howe was like watch a body self embalm itself but Randolph has not got a clue. Like Davy Johnson, he never does a squeeze play & this is a tremendous plus for the other team. He overuses his bullpen (Feliciano was dead on) . How do you put your closer into a non save situation? He almost got hurt last time this happened?
The bullpens arms will be falling off come October

We're assuming that Mr. Roxy is feeling better these days?
Not really
I go under the knife 7/11. After that I have more fun going to a neurologist to start getting a handle on what appears to be a case of undiagnosed peripheral neuropathy. Other than that, I am as fit as a fiddle

Oooh, sorry to hear that, ZONE.
Yes, I agree. The Yankees are done. And I say that with a huge grin on my face, as I'm a huge Sox fan
The Sox are the ones to beat
Their lineup is awesome & does not habitually choke. They have great defense & now they have decent pitching
I hope one day to see a game @ Fenway
To ZONEFACE, the Braves had a great run. The Royals - next
nah, they're not done. all they have to do is stay close, within 4-7 games of the sox, and then take 'em down the stretch. face it, whoever doesn't win the al central is gonna be the wild card, so whoever wins the east goes and the other stays home. we'll pull it off down the stretch.
as faar as the mets and their weak division, it's not the division, it's the nl. in interleague play this year, the al is 154-98 against the nl this season. chumps baby.
The Yankees pitching staff is dreadful so without some new arms , I must disagree with the mambo man
Unfortunately, the yankees traded away a lot of their young pitchers in the past & they are now reaping the harvest of these decisions

The Yankees and the Braves had their time. As the cow said to Rose, "Move Over!". It's time for a new era.
you do realize what mets means right? it's an acronym for "my entire team sucks."

I'm sure you will enjoy watching the Mets in the post season.
At least the Mets will get into the playoffs. Without another starter & a well rested bullpen, they ain't gonna make it. imagine the Mets against the Bosox or Chicago. It won't be pretty
not as much as i'll enjoy watching the yankees, since they'll be there longer.
Sorry Mr Mambo
I will make you a gentlemans wager . You name it
a thread.

I am a lifelong Red Sox fan, and I must say I am thoroughly enjoying this. Usually it's RS Nation that is trailing, in trouble, etc. I get warm fuzzies just thinking of it :) It'll be interesting to see what ultimately happens at the end, and who will win the division. (RS RS RS RS RS, etc).

Are you ready for another Mets-Red Sox World Series?

Oooh, THAT would be very nice. A rematch of the 1986 WS. And no Bill Buckner on the team this time. I would so enjoy that rematch.
