I hope they get John Waters to do the movie version of this book!
Sometime late August or early September, SANTA CLAUS CONQUERS THE HOMOPHOBES will be published as a trade paperback and available at amazon.com, bn.com, and other online bookstores.
It will also be listed in Ingram's and therefore orderable from many brick-and-mortar stores.
"Santa Claus is back.
And flying beside him is Wendy, his freshly minted stepdaughter, who can peer into the future of selected children and offer them glimpses of the wonders ahead.
But with that power come horrific visions of the turmoil and trouble the less fortunate among them are fated to suffer.
Can Wendy and her stepfather prevent the suicide of Jamie Stratton in his teen years, as he grows up gay in a homophobic household and community? God the Father grants them three Thanksgiving visits to Jamie's tormentors, in hopes of bringing about a change of heart in them and eliminating their ingrained prejudices.
Beyond the challenge of rescuing one precious child lies the far more daunting task of expunging entirely this brand of bigotry from the human race, as Santa and Wendy strive to remake the world in compassion and generosity.
Along the way, they enlist the aid of the Easter Bunny, a highly persuasive fellow indeed.
But the Tooth Fairy and her loathsome imps are hell-bent on doing all they can to stop Santa and Wendy—nay, to heighten mortal fear and hatred of anyone whose orientation strays even the slightest from the norm.
In the end, Santa must make the ultimate sacrifice if he is to save humankind from complete chaos and self-destruction."

The poor graphic design of the cover turns me off.
Has anyone read the first book?

"God the Father"? Shoot me. Now.
Gee, this is dumb.
omg! you haterz! it's santa. and he's beating off with homophones. how can you not luv that??? the negativity in this place is sickening.
OMG!!!!!!!! I read the first book, Santa Steps Out.
It was twisted beyond belief!
Absolutely hilarious. It's been out of print for a few years now and I have been dying to get a copy. (I lost my original moving).
The whole premise is that all these "icons" are just a modern form of ancient pans and spirits. Zeus/god/etc. goes on vacation and all hell breaks loose.
The Tooth Fairy is pure evil. She's banished on a lonely island and she craps coins. (a favorite turn of phrase that stuck in my mind is "The tooth fairy squatted and shat a clack of quarters").
In the first book, she tries to seduce Santa with the help of the Easter Bunny and replace Mrs. Clause.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Clause becomes a raging nymphomaniac and has orgies with all the elves.
It's tasteless, pornographic, and uproarious.

Well I must say Taz's synopsis makes it sound like a LOT more fun.
Its pure camp!
I can not wait for the movie versions to come out! I wonder if the rights have been sold. I still say John Waters could do wonders with this.
I can pretty much guarantee that this will have a lot of lubricious
sex and a jaw dropping lack of p.c.
I remember laughing so hard at Santa Steps Out. And Devereaux is a very good writer.
The first book was a little too violent and pornographic to be considered "camp", imo.
Sounds like a typical day at BWW to me!
