New to Broadway!

Hello, I have been "lurking" these threads for the last few months, but was always afraid to join!

After seeing what great stuff all of you say and how funny the group is I felt I just had to join in on all the fun.

My favorite musical is Ragtime because it touches me deeply..

I loved Ragtime - saw it the first 6 months it was open in NYC...and besides Ragtime is so much better than Wicked, which I have seen twice!

WOW! Already so many greetings, this is so neat..

I love the characters on this Board, Broadwayguy2 is so funny, Namo scares me cuz he's so smart and Phantom2 makes me laugh.

Moi! I am a rising senior at the Cobb County Center for the Performing Arts at Pebblebrook High School in Mableton, GA. To make it easy, I'll just say I go to da 'Brook. I'm a vocal major and a dance minor.

Somebody is going to kill me but... I found Ragtime totally empty... just a bunch of songs (with only a few good ones). I saw the show in London with Maria Friedman.

Oh, man. It is SO refreshing to hear from someone else who didn't like Ragtime.

I saw the US tour and found the show slow and hollow. I couldn't connect to the characters, the plot, or the score. Each song seemed to be one big giant lung-shredding anthem after another. It wore on me.
