It looks like we may come to NYC for 5 or so days over Thanksgiving. While I have ulterior motives (BROADWAY)I decided last night that with the recent death of Suzie, my partners mother mother, it would be good for us to go there (rather than my parents where we always go) and have it with his sister, mother's cousin and his nephew).

So just a heads-up for those that will be in town. I definately want to plan something.......and meet you guys if possible...

Yenta and Lauren, it may include a day or two in CT, but may not....will keep you informed.

I know I want to see Le Mis, not sure what else.

I have hosted most of the family holiday dinners fir awhile now (10 years) and we have a large family (we are talking about 20-25 people at times!) So a couple of years ago I told everyone that I was taking Thanksgiving off.
Dave and I took Erin to New York on Wednesday, went to the Upper West Side to see the balloons that night. Went to the parade and had dinner at Virgil's and it was GREAT. Someone asked ME what I wanted for dinner, I about cried.

The night before is really neat. It is like a huge block party

I live (d) a block from the balloons, it's always fun to go watch them being blown up!

I went to the parade for the first time last year, and I was stupid and line up in the wrong place (across from the Macy's stands). But it was still fun!

I'm going to visit my family for the first time in three years, after spending the last two Thanksgivings alone (I did have a friend to spend the day with last year at least). But if you plan it for when I'm here, I'll be happy to be there. re: Next Thanksgiving

Elphaba, I am two hours from NYC. It doesn't look like I will be in CA anytime soon. We must get together.

it would be a blast......

yenta, we'll work it out. I may come up there as mentioned for a day or so as my Aunt is in Fairfield, and Lauren is up there. Once we get closer, we'll figure it all out
