There were angels dancing at the Ritz...
Omigod--that John Barrowman male-to-male kiss in context!

Posted: 11/24/07 at 11:24pmThat's one of the few times the utterly ridiculous Torchwood was actually good. Well, as long as you ignored everything with Owen and Ianto.

Gwen and Tosh makes it all worthwhile.
Oh. And Barrowman.

Posted: 11/24/07 at 11:42pmHee. The world is a considerably more amusing place with Barrowman in it.

No DayDreamer. What's bad is that I can no longer get BBC America on the cable plan that I am on, unless I pay more money for a premium service. Grrr.
So I have 2 decisions to make. One is whether to pay for the premium service and I really don't care about the other channels. The only channel I really want is BBC America. The second decision is even if I decide to go for the premium service, BBC America is apparently only available now as digital. I'm not quite sure what is all involved there, and whether I can even get a digital broadcast on a non-digital TV.

Posted: 11/25/07 at 2:57pmThat sucks, LaurenB. Well at least the DVD of Series 1 comes out in January, with BBC America airing Series 2 starting 26 January, so hopefully it'll be on DVD soon after!

i have been waiting to see this episode for SO long, and it did NOT disappoint. i know it's silly, but i CRIED at the end. i loved the scene when i saw it some time ago on youtube, but to see it in context just drew a well of emotions out of me.

Posted: 11/27/07 at 12:55amI agree with cturtle. I've been enjoying various clips from that episode for months - but finally seeing it in its entirety was a little overwhelming. All I could think during the dance and final kiss was of the real gift that he was giving the 'real' Jack. All that pent up emotion and desire finally getting a release (with HIM!!!) And all the while knowing what the future held in store. By the time of the salute, I was a blubbering mess.

Posted: 11/28/07 at 11:02amI have not been able to watch the last several episodes. My cable company changed its lineup and has not informed Tivo, and BBC America seems to have disappeared!

Season 3 might only be 5 episodes? And geared toward a more 'general audience'?
Link.
