They are both very talented.
BUT...
Lachey's genre just isn't popular anymore. He's still singing boyband, pop-ballads with awful lyrics. It's just not appealing anymore.
Simpson has an amazing, amazing voice, but she oversings too much. She was much better in her younger days, before she decided that she would over-sing every. single. word. Her vocals on "Angels" are nice, but Jesus girl, just chill out and sing it naturally - it would suit you much better.

Posted: 5/11/06 at 12:08pmI think he's more talented than Jessica, since his music has improved since his first effort and he really can "sing" as opposed to Jessica who tries to be Jewel on ex-lax. In other words, she has talent, she just doesn't use it anymore.
