Nigel Lythgoe may return as executive producer for American Idol

Nigel Lythgoe may return as the executive producer for "American Idol" next season to help reboot the show after Simon left. He also wants to replace the entire panel of judges and start fresh. Two people he especially wants are Justin Timberlake and Elton John. I don't plan on watching the show next season now that Simon is gone, but I would be interested to see what the new panel would be like.

Though, to be honest, if they can manage to rid us of the annoying Randy and Kara... I may just watch.

Randy has one more year on his contract. Kara's is up and she has not resigned yet.
