This is fabulous. The orchestrations are lush, and the new lyrics are sharper than ever. Taking the closing number from a 40-minute episode and transforming it into an exciting opening number for a 2.5-hour show is a significant challenge. I believe they more than rose to meet it.

Wicked earned 10 Academy Award Nominations including Best Actress (Cynthia Erivo), Best Supporting Actress (Ariana Grande), and Best Picture.It also gets a nom for Production Design, Costumes, Editing, and Score (this one is a lovely surprise).
