I could not acess PJ's link, so I don't know if the AP's new break repeats the info, but it looks as it is possibly NOT a hate crime after all.
They arrested him

Fixed my link but Tulita's has it all.

He's been arrested. He has a history of psychotic behavior and his family had orders of protection against him.

Teresa's lover has been released from the hospital. Let's hope for her sake (and others') that he's put behind bars for the rest of his life.
