I read online under a picture of them at the Tony's it said "Theater Couple Norbert & Michelle" I thought Norbert is married and has children? Or was he married? Just curious

Yes, he was married, but has now apparently been seeing Ms. Federer - or so the 'knowledgable ones' from this site claim
How many more?
Didn't he leave his wife for Michelle during the San Francisco run? That's what I've heard...

Oh my, oh my. I've never heard of that rumor, but that surely sounds juicy!!
they've been together since at least the opening of wicked, 'cuz i saw it on halloween (day after it opened offically), and they were on the street corner trying to get a cab dancing around and very obviously together. they're adorable :) and very nice, we totally went up to them and conversed for a few minutes telling them how wonderful the show was and they were very gracious. *sigh* the good old days before the mobs lol
i was confused though, 'cuz i though i had heard he was married; i don't know all of how that ended and stuff, but they've been together since then. when we went back to see the show again that week my mom was talking to one of the people who worked at the theatre and said something about norbert and michelle and how cute they were and the person was kind of suprised that she knew about it lol
They've been together since the San Fransisco run, and yes, he did leave his wife for her (I have a friend who worked on the show.) It's really sad, but Norbert's a sweet guy, it's too bad he's with such a horrible woman. (ps, Michelle is succcccccchhhhh a piece of work...)

We had a thread exactly like this earlier today. And one like that the day before...
eek!
It's ok, I forgive you...but still...
He said in his Tony acceptance speech that she was his "best friend." Does that mean "best friend" or "woman I'm sleeping with?"
Probably the latter.
Excuse my crassness.
He thanked her a little more intimately during his acceptance speece at Drama Desk Awards, didn't he?
divacathe, What do you mean by saying that she's such a piece of work? I worked with her and she's not only a very gracious and kind person, but a supremely talented young woman. Mr. Butz could do a lot worse...
redhot, I was backstage with a few people from WICKED, and was talking to a few of my friends in the show, and we walked by her and said hello, and my friends stopped to introduce me to her, and when they said hey Michelle, she kept walking and just waved. I just thought it was rude. I hope for Norbert's sake, that she's a nice girl. Maybe she was just having a bad night.:)
My opinion of it is that she's only nice to who she has to be nice to, unless she knows you. But I've heard she's not very nice at the stage door, either. Plus I get a really bad vibe off of just pictures of her.. haha. Oh well. That's the extent of my talking nasty about her in a public forum.

I think many people here have heard stories of her being a bit curt at the stage door, but I don't think that waving and not stopping to chat can really constitute as being a "horrible woman" and a "piece of work", can it? At least she gave an acknowledgement of your guys's presence, no? Unless anyone's got other examples, it seems harsh to say she's a bad person just because she doesn't fawn over people at the stage door or backstage.
Just my 2c.

She seemed a little... "cool" to me at the stage door... but I wasn't going to hold it against her. I think if Norbert and Michelle are happy together, then good for them.
And not to add more speculation, but do you think that's why she's stayed in Wicked so long? Because Norbert is in DRS?

I think she's just shy. I mean, come on. If in fact the rumors are true, or if she even knows the rumors are THERE about Norb leaving his wife for her, then it's gotta be a little bit intimidating. Norb was favored for the Tony and won the drama desk. She had to have been a nervous wreck AND, not to mention, worried because major awards can dig up all kinds of dirt on you. I feel badly for her. Hey, she can't be terrible. Norb's girls were distraught because he left Wicked. Why would they feel that way if the woman who caused their parents divorce (allegedly) was in it and was (allegedly)a "nasty person"? Doesn't add up. Quiet people come off as nasty. Not that I'm quiet, as you can tell! :)
