I (& obviously the rest of the board) know nothing of what happened here. That being said- I suspect a lot more went on between all the parties. Just because I have observed to many tearing aparts & coming together on film sets. Michele may just have been the right place when things ended.

Uptown, he said that he dedicated his award to his girls because they were so mad at him for leaving "Wicked". They thought he'd stay there forever. I think he said something about Michelle too, but I don't remember exactly what it was. I also agree with sabrelady...it's true. Who the heck knows what happened and honestly, who cares anyway. Everyone seems happy and that really should be all there is to it.

No, we don't. And we don't know the whole Billy Crudup/Mary Louise Parker story either, but there certainly isn't a majority of people (or one, even) who are going around saying, "Well, good for Billy and Claire - they're happy!" Yes, MLP was pregnant - and Norbert and his wife have two small children - does that make him a better man, becaues his wife wasn't actually pregnant at the time? The double standards are just too much for me.

I am certainly not defending or condoning adultery in any way. This whole thread is based on third...fourth...fifth party information. We don't have a right to judge either way.

OK this is what I was trying to avoid. WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED. I posted a while back on the freq failure of "civilian" & performer relationships. Sydney ( the former Mrs B.) may simply have found it too difficult to manage a family w an absentee husband ( tours, working hrs, etc) and decided SHE wanted out. I HAVE seen that version more times than I care to comment on. Norb is a Catholic & I do not think he walked away nonchalantly from his marriage. ( the photos of Sydney I have seen show a REAL knock out ala Sheri Rene style so I don't hink it was simply greener fields.) SHE may have found someone else. WE do not know nor are we likely to.
I just hope everyone stays friendly so Norb can concentrate on building a careeer wout legal distractions.

Well as far as Michelle goes I met her and she seemed very sweet, but a bit on the shy side. Sometimes shyness can come off as rudeness.
And as far as what ainmama said about Norb's girls being mad at him for leaving Wicked, if the stories are true, they might not even have known. His girls are young.

No offense to anyone, but I think Norbert is kind of ugly. Great Broadway singer, and I'm glad he got the Tony because I was rooting for him and he deserved it, but he's not cute.

And secondly, I think that rumors just turn into these vile untruths that we are just speculating about. Who knows what the truth is? They keep it away from the public becuase they don't want the public to know, and instead the public makes up things that may be the truth but are most likely lies.

Ok, that's not what I meant. What I meant was, that you said something along the lines of why would his girls be upset about him leaving Wicked if Michelle had broken up the marriage. What I meant was if that story WAS true, they might not have known that was why their parents split up, because they're young.

HMM. Ugly? Depends on your standards of beauty. I have always been attracted to more "unique" & individual styles of male beauty rather than "pretty boys" more interested in themselves than me. ( Erik Bruhn whom I adored has been called both "Prince Charming" for his looks and "horsefaced". And HE was a difficult personality!!!) Norb appears to me as an intelligent, caring, well spoken freakingly talented man and I'd pick his company over Tom Cruise ANY day of the week. But that's just me.

TThis is sort of random, but... I was at DRS a few weeks ago, and he had his little girls with him, and they were teh cutest little kids ever! He was like, "Stay right here, okay?" And within a second, they were prancing up and down teh barricade chatting with the fans, and then broke into a chant of "HE'S NUTS! HE'S NUTS!" They were funny, and Norbert chuckled, so it was quite the little scene

Norbs appeals to me--beautiful eyes, beautiful smile, I like his hair, and although he is heavier than L5Y and Wicked, anyone who's seen him in DRS in a robe knows he has awesome legs.
But his most attractive feature is his voice, both speaking and singing. Look at Clay Aiken, who personally is not my cup of tea, but when he sings I can understand his appeal to some people.

I don't know anything about their relationship, but they do make a cute couple!

I also wanted to say that Michelle Federer is a VERY gracious woman. For example, she sent me a personalized picture and a great note thanking me for being a fan and how much it means to her. I also received the picture and letter about two weeks after I mailed my letter. My guess is that she is just shy at the stage door.
