I broke up with the other guy in my avatar. So I got rid of it.

Why, did you like the picture?re: Novels written in present tense

Awww, I feel loved.

I'll find a piccture of me by myself if I can.

fiction you really can act like such a child sometimes.

You ask for an opinion, and then when people give it, and it's not what you want to hear, you become an ass, and become condescending towards them.
If you don't want opinions don't ask. It's that simple.

I just don't get you between the name change and all of the "I am going to school for ________", and the moves, and the car incident, and all the crap I just don't get you.

You just need to start acting like an adult rather than a spoiled brat.

DON'T ask for opinions, unless you can accept them as an adult.

I really find it hard to believe that I have to explain this to you, FW, but a single paragraph by anybody does not demonstrate that they are a very skillful writer.

"Must I paste a paragraph and show you, Namo, that I am a "very skillful writer"?"

A skillful writer, when asking for opinions, would NEVER respond that way.

sheesh, I've f-ing had it, GROW UP!

FYI (and I'm not going to bother reading the whole thread just yet, so sue me if this has already been said):

Jhumpa Lahiri's first novel - The Namesake - is written in the present tense. Of course she finds writing very "hard" and considers it her full-time job. Anyway...

FictionWriter, if you feel that present tense serves your story best, then try it.
