Woman ‘Addicted to Tea’ Drinks So Much Tea That All Her Teeth Fall Out and Her Bones Go Crazy

"For the past 17 years, the now-47-year-old woman has been drinking at least a pitcher a day of something described as "thick tea" (ew)—a hyper-concentrated brew made from at least 100 bags. When she began suffering from pain and stiffness in her limbs, back, and hips, doctors discovered that x-treme tea consumption had caused her to develop a rare bone disease."

How much does 100 bags of tea every day end up costing a bird?

Oh puhlease! The woman in that article is from a place called Michigan - of course she doesn't know how to drink tea.

On the other hand, Sergeant Brody and I both know that the day won't even begin without two mugs of this:

But in the afternoon I divert to something startling and uplifting. It must be organic and should be served in Portmeirion pottery:

And in the evening, after I have finished my daily ten course Georgian banquet at the Brighton Pavillion with Barbra Streisand as Melinda Mainwhistle, a cup (Wedgwood) of this is more than necessary:

What does this have to do with the British. Except that perhaps they know how to drink their tea, and not become someone who belongs on the strange addiction TV show.

If anything, this instead reflects the super-sizing of all things consumed in this country.

"What does this have to do with the British."

There is a direct link between how much tea the British drink and their poor health. I watch "Call The Midwife". I see they suffer from rickets, smallpox, genetic defects from intermarrying and general malnutrition. I mean who thinks that beans on toast is worth eating?

(And yes, I'm still being snarky. I have visited the UK many times and it is my belief that they do theater much better than the Americans. Even though their actors suffer from rickets).

The Brits exported Monty Python among other things.

For that alone they are OK in my book.

The tea thing and teeth thing against us Brits is so stupid and simplistic. It's like saying all Americans are fat loud and stupid because that's the thing the rest of the world thinks when Americans are mentioned. Oh and also isn't coffee actually worse for your teeth?

Mostly, I find, people reference the tea and teeth thing somewhat ironically. Its like a non-joke that's funny because of its repetition. Chalk it up to American cynicism.

That being said, why do you constantly make it an "us vs. you" thing in regards to any post addressing USA/UK relations? Goth is a semi-troll who loves to post "provocative" things. I lived in London for a bit. You Limey's love coffee just as much as us.

"Goth is a semi-troll who loves to post "provocative" things."

Someone who has been on this board less than six months calling someone who has a ten year history on this board a troll? That's rich!

That's the way we have of humoring one another. The Brits also do it with the French.
