Millie,
>>>Then why do you post here Sunfish?<<<
I post here because I am as moved by Broadway shows as any of you. I just don't pretend that because I post here that I am really part of THE Broadway community.(I do know that some of the posters on the boards are employed in the business, but my guess is most of them don't have time to post several thousand times.) But this IS a community of people with at least one interest in common, and it is pleasant to have some connection with it.
I didn't mean to insult anyone, thousands of posts just seemed extreme to me. I was initially taken aback, as I said. Especially for a young person, I would hope that they DO have more in their lives than sitting in their rooms exchanging messages here. If that is all they have, I am happy they have at least that.
I do have to say, I am slightly insulted by the challenge, however. But, given the nature of internet message boards, I of course have the right to say what I want, when I want, where I want, and the devil be damned. I've never really subscribed to that POV,though, I try to be more polite and reasonable most of the time, and I wouldn't bother to post if I didn't feel some affinity for (some of) the people or the environment.
Basically, the whole post count thing is meaningless anyway, as has been pointed out elsewhere, becasue of this off-topic board. It means nothing in terms of "Broadway" anyway. Just means you have a lot of time on your hands, which brings us around full circle, I guess!
