Sources confirm that the cast of Fox's hit series Glee will not take part in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, which airs next month on NBC.

Joe, it is a FOX hit show and the parade is aired on NBC. I know it doesn't seem fair that we won't be able so see the cast in person lip syncing, but they pulled the same crap with X-Files and Married With Children.

I will protest by not watching the parade and re-watch every episode of Glee I have on my tivo.

They're just bitter they passed on the show and now it is the biggest hit among the target demographic they lack more than any other (non-CBS) network. NBC has passed on MOST of the hit shows currently on the air (DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES to MAD MEN) and have essentially become nothing more than the Olympics/Lorne Michaels channel when, only 10 years ago, they had not only the four best sitcoms but the four best non-cable dramas on TV. The Olympics and SNL weren't even noteworthy in comparison and now that's ALL they have besides 30 Rock which is, essentially, a parody of SNL. To paraphrase what Tina Fey said at the Emmy's, "Thanks for keeping us on the air even though we're more expensive than a talk show." And that, from the Queen of NBC, pretty much says it all about their practices. Why not give Jay TWO hours a night, you fools?

Great article in the Times today about Jay. Seems the affiliates are close to a revolt! Seems local news programs have a 10%-30% decease in their lead in since Jay premiered. Not a good thing! Keep up the good work NBC!

I've always wondered why no LAW AND ORDER float. 3/4 of the working NY actors have appeared on it. At least we'd get some singers who can sing.

A ha! Trying to catch me! I watched the parade for several years and was completely turned off by the horrible miming to songs, even if it is "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!" I also watched the pilot of GLEE, which I realized stood for "Gotta Lipsynch Every Expression".

That's why I think they're perfect for each other.

I wasn't claiming to break news. I was merely pointing out that I would never argue GLEE shouldn't appear there. In fact, Lea and Matthew should just lipsynch all the numbers from every musical cast recording on Broadway and save everybody a lot of money and aggravations.

and you're wrong. when i read that ksm had been waterboarded as many times as he had, i was positively ecstatic. the only thing that would have made it more enjoyable is if they hooked him up to some electrodes that delivered electricity in incremental amounts linked to the sound levels of iggy pop's raw power.
