that's the second saddest penguin story of 2005. the first one was the one about roy and silo - the formerly gay penguin couple in a NYC zoo. they've been together for about six years and even began raising a baby together, tango.

that is until a few months ago when a female penguin caught silo's eye and he left roy for her. the article said that now "roy just stands there staring at the wall" and is obviously heartbroken.

i wanted to cry, it made me so sad.
