"ok, boys, now line up and form a perimeter around the museum, here, and defend it to the death."
i somehow cannot imagine, fathom, or even conscience asking american boys to give their lives to defend pieces of art. especially when some of the most important pieces, such as the "mona lisa of mesopotamia," have now been returned. i know it sounds like we were there to defend oil when folks were guarding the oil ministry while the museum was being sacked by iraqis, but the fact of the matter is that the oil is the best chance for iraq to bootstrap themselves into the future.
callous? perhaps, but those professors who're screaming bloody blue murder about how horribly we did this can do so without the threat of death and torture hanging over their heads no, can't they? their universities will be re-built on america's dime and the ttreasures will be returned slowly. if not they'll be recovered on the international market by law enforcement.
besides, who needs to know how to spell agander, anyways?
