Seems like those that got free tickets to Obama's big speech have to pay a price after all.
"The Obama campaign has begyn [sic] notifying people who got tickets for the big acceptance speech at Invesco Field the final night of the convention.
Many of those who received tickets told 7NEWS they have come with a caveat.
Those viewers said the campaign told them they must volunteer six hours for the campaign by Friday in order to get a ticket"

Oops! You forgot to include this part of the article, Goth...
"The Obama campaign insists that volunteering is not a requirement to get a ticket.
They said those who were told they must volunteer must have clicked on the opt-in button for "all-star seating" when they signed up for the tickets. If you click that button, then you are required to volunteer, but you get a better seat."

So Obama supporters are too stupid to know what button to push? Maybe someone needs to escort them into the voting booth and point to the correct candidate?

And nobody has been notified. They are now saying that people will be notified by Friday. Also, to get a better seat, there is another link other than the volunteer link for VIP access. I am supposed to attend but it just annoys me a bit that it's not good enough that people are going to take the time out to go. So, those who can't volunteer know they won't get "the good seats". This whole ticket thing has been crazy. We were told to put in for them 3 weeks ago. They then re-vamped it all and we had to put in for them again last week. The news said we would get the confirmation (or rejection!) e-mails on Monday. Now it is Friday. There are times when I can understand how some people are a bit annoyed (and they are) with the Obama campaign. "Go out and get votes for me and you will be rewarded. The rest of you get the nosebleed seats". Even those who are going to vote for him but can't volunteer. Thanks. Just my random thoughts!

I imagine that this is how his healthcare plan will work.
Free healthcare for everyone.
Oh, you want to see a doctor? You have to scrub 100 bedpans before you do. And they must be scrubbed two days from now.

Posted: 8/13/08 at 11:34amI heard the GOP is volunteering the Republican Senator of your choice to come and clean your bathroom if you'll agree to attend their convention. So far they have almost half of the VFW Hall tentatively filled! Most folks have declined the offer though. They don't feel the Senators will do a good enough job.
