I have a huge crush on my Senator. What a cutie. And pretty cool, too. He was so funny last night with Jon Stewart...
"Iraq is sort of a situation where you've got a guy who drove the bus into the ditch. You obviously have to get the bus out of the ditch and that's not easy to do," Obama said. "Although, you should probably fire the driver."
I would vote for him for almost anything right now, but I think he will just get smarter and more distinguished with age and experience.
I don't know why but I get the sneaking feeling that dearest Obama just might end up being our first black president. I'd certainly vote for him.
I would vote for him as well but he needs to give it another eight years just to gain more experience.

Oh, brdlwyr, do I detect a bit of a same-sex crush?

No, just great admiration. (His wife is hot though.)
His speech at the DNC last year was a highlight of what was a lackluster convention.

Yes, his speech was pretty great. In fact, I'd go so far as to say I think he is the best future the democrats have to offer right now. I love every interaction I ever saw between him and the well-spoken crazy man Alan Keyes, as well.

The Democratic Party needs about 10 more just like him.
I would vote for him and sleep with him.
I hope his Freshman spirit does not get cynical in the coming years.

I would look for him in 2012 or even 2016. He is a young man and needs at least one full term as Senator.
I also hope that he does not become cynical. His optimisim is one of his assets.

It's amazing that he manages to be a senator AND play Geena Davis's Chief of Staff on COMMANDER IN CHIEF.
Or, he might make a good VP candidate in 2008 - and we can see where that takes him.
I like him as well.
I am all for cloning if we can get a few more like Obama.

He and Jon Stewart had such a great rapport, and they weren't even in the same room. I can't wait for him to be a guest on the show again and actually be sitting right next to Stewart.
I loved when he told Jon Stewart that the only person currently being more over-hyped than he (Obama) is Jon Stewart!

Make that 100.

I nearly spit my drink on the computer screen reading that. Hilarious!

Meanwhile, Harry Lennix is thinking, "I hope this Obama guy becomes president so I can play him in the movie!"
Obama is a cutie.
Speaking of cute, has anyone noticed the adorable Alex Perez on (Chicago) NBC News?

The first time I saw him (on the CNN election special), I got a really good vibe. I instantly thought that he would be our first black president.
I'm with Jilani. When he turned his own over-hyped, over interpreted profile into a Jon Stewart-as-barometer joke, he proved to be spontaneous, and generous with a genuine sense of humor (or ridiculous). It was a great moment, Jilani.

I just watched the clip and it. was. brilliant. I was especially gratified by the lack of satellite delay, which always ends up making the interviewee look stupid even when (s)he's not.
