I just received my ticket!! I am beyond excited!
Anyone else going??

You couldn't pay me to be down there. I'm sure down the line I'll wonder if I should have gone to such an historic event, but I can't deal with those crowds, not to mention that it's going to be a long night for you folks who attend.
We're getting out of work early tomorrow, though, because this this is totally effing up the Metra trains.

Priest - have a great time! Send me a PM if you need any Loop/Chicago tips!
Phyllis and I are way too old for such outdoor events with no booze.
We are having a party with various friends, some that I have been watching returns for 20 years!
I am letting my staff go at 3:00 as asked by our Mayor!
Tomorrow history will be made!
I'll be there! I will be the one wearing the Obama '08 button so come and say hello!
I certainly understand not wanting to deal with large crowds, but I am more than willing to deal with them.
I was going to just miss my class at 3 and go after my other class tomorrow gets out at 1:50, but I think I might miss both to get there around noon.
I am so pumped!

I thought the gates opened at 8:30? Noon? That might be way too early! I thought you lived in Dallas?
I got a ticket too---I can't wait!!
But whoa, you're getting there at noon? To wait in line or just to chill? :) I don't get out of voice class tomorrow until around 6 but my friend (who is my ticket's guest) will be saving our place in line for the "doors."
I'm torn, though, they asked people not to bring bags but I'd like to listen to my iPod on the El ride there (which could easily take 45 minutes or more coming from RoPo...ew....). But if I don't have my purse what will I do with it? Especially since it's not cold enough for my winter coat with the big pockets? ::sigh:: lol oh well, worse things have happened. Get ready for history, beeyotches!!
Just heard on CNN...
80,000 invited guests and upwards of 1 million possible attendees in the "spill over" area! The weather is supposed to be glorious! To all those attending, be safe and have a great time! It's going to be a historic night! I'll be watching in high-def at home in NY. Be sure to wave!

I don't have a ticket, but by God I'll be there!
I have to go home, and i'm taking the amtrak back in at 10:30 p.m. But I will be down there!
Hope to see you all!
I think the world will be watching not only Obama, but also for how Mayor Daley handles this event. This might be a deciding factor in determining if Chicago gets the 2016 Olympics.

The weather here is PERFECT - mild, clear, sunny and about 70! Great day for history!
I'm not going to the rally...big crowds like that freak me out. But I am partying at Fizz on Lincoln. A bunch of bars here are having Election Night parties...one is going so far as to call it the Obama Victory Party. Um...chill...
I'm so sad I'm missing this!
Stupid being in Paris for the semester. :-P
Have a great (and safe!) time!

My wish: Obama points out the Adler Planetarium and declares: "Screw you, McCain - I'm buying them their damned "overhead projector" with my millions of leftover campaign money!"

The idea of the rally kind of terrifies me - I don't do so well with large crowds - but I wish ya'll the best in your endeavors tonight. I'll be thinking of you during my at-home celebrations.
Have a wonderful time!
Take pictures, and savor the historic moment!
To those that are going, have a wonderful time! And be safe!

This city is a buzz with Obama! The press is all over Millenium Park. I could not resist and walked down to Grant Park, my av is looking from Monroe!
I pray two things: 1, that the rally is an exhuberant, 100% positive be-in, a natural collective high on par with the convention closer, and 2, above all, that the historic reason for the rally actually happens to justify its taking place.

A Obama victory and a successful ralley could clinch Chicago for 2016.
Ha ha...I just saw Stedman Graham at the Nordstrom's mall downtown. I'm sure he and O are heading over to the rally tonight.
Have a great time tonite, all of you who are going ... and know that New Yorkers are there in spirit with you! Its going to be a huge crowd, so above all, be safe. But you're experiencing history first hand ... and I am praying it is a victory celebration.
Have fun everyone. If Obama is elected, I'm definitely going to attend the inaugural parade especially since I live in DC.
I have a wake after work but will be going home to watch all the festivities! Chicago will be pumped tonight. Have a safe time in the city all who are going. I'll be in the near west burbs.
I'm hiding at home, but I wish everyone who attends that they have a safe and wonderful time. Large crowds terrify me (I started to panic trying to get back to my hotel after New Year's Eve on the Las Vegas strip), so I will have to settle with enjoying the festivities on TV.
