He obviously meant he might vote for McCain if Obama isn't the Democratic nominee.

I think the posters' point of showing this video is to point out the hypocrisy and inbred racism of the media. Clearly, the reporter approached this guy thinking he was going to be a dumb ass, inarticulate young person. NOT!!

mateo... do you mean that democrats should just support the democratic candidate regardless of policy as long as he/she calls him/her self a democrat? The big idea in the Obama candidacy is pushing for a much less partisan future, I don't think the people who say 'lets save this for the republicans' really get it...

Roninjoey, you are SO right. Everyone should hear this video and read every comment below it, for it is singly, IMHO, the best PERSONAL political blog I've accidentally come across, and I feel priviledged to share it with everyone on this board, especially if you are young!

Mateo, what do you make of the mass party smearing of John McCain, then? I'm not saying either side is any better or worse, but I don't see that much cohesion on the other side. At all.

Most Democrats I know will ultimately vote for whichever candidate gets the nomination.

He was pretty impressive, tiny. I love when people can manage to stay cool and civil when engaged in debate. Calm and rational doesn't have to equal dispassionate.

Yes, BlueR..this is a complete lesson in why, loud mouth arguing (pundits, mostly on TV) get their jobs. It's not what you know or whether you're a legit journalist or not, it's your"Q" rating, how much hot air you have, and your screaming technique.
Derrick may never get "ratings", but I don't care. Even in coffee shops and restaurants, people are screaming their opinions to their guests. Whatever happened to civil discourse?
