I won't get into my obsessions now but my friend has her away message up and it says "Happy 82nd Birthday Bob Barker"
She is 21 and has been obsessed with Bob Barker even before I knew her when we were 12. She tapes "The Price is Right" EVERY SINGLE DAY. She gets jealous when one of the contestants kisses him. She knows all about his family. She sends him cards. I can understand some obsessions, alas, I have plenty of my own.
However, an obsession with Bob Barker has yet to be explained...and I don't think ever will be.
I asked her what she would do if he died and she said that she would spend every last penny to fly out to CA to his funeral.
I really don't think that this is that strange, but I have an obsession with John Kassir (the dude in my avatar). My friends don't understand it so that's why I say it's strange. I just think he's hilarious and sexy (yep!) and I can't get enough of him!

He sure looks a lot younger *and hotter* than Bob Barker. However, my friend thinks he is the sexiest guy alive. She thinks that man is G-d!!

Wasn't John Kassir the guy who played the Crypt Keeper?
Yup. He was in Reefer Madness, too (the movie and off-Broadway).

I'm obsessed with Broadway... that's about all I got.
I have a friend who is OBSESSED with the guy who played Jack in the Lord of the Flies movie. He is around 62 now. It's wicked irritating...
Random things I am obsessed about off the top of my head: Staples parallel to the left hand margin of a sheet, Idina Menzel, fingernail length, Alias, outline formats, margins, accents, myspace, &&& lots more.
I'm a big fan of both Tales from the Crypt & Reefer Madness, so there ya go. I just love that man!
I usually have one obsession going at any given time. Cher has been a big one since I was like 10. It's not active now, but it usually pops up every time she does something new. There have been other random ones. I went through a Spice Girls thing when i was entirely too old to be into them. The weirdest was Deidre Hall. I would write her fan letters and she would respond. She sent me birth announcements when her sons were born and Weddding pics when she got married. I decided that it was just too weird and stopped obsessing.
I don't really obsess over things anymore...lol.
I used to obsessively write lists of dog breeds and horse breeds and make up various names and stuff for them. I have journals full of lists and lists and lists.
and no I don't have OCD, hahahaha. One would think.
I used to be obsessed with Xena: Warrior Princess. I was telling this to a co-worker a few months ago and she informed me only gay people watched that show.
...hmm.
I used to be obsessed with Tina Fey. Well...not so much obsessed as I wanted soooo badly to be her. I thought she was the coolest person ever. I have journals full of comedy sketches, too. I could totally write for SNL, too bad I have absolutely no desire. Though Rockefeller Center is pretty.
Now I'm thinking of a million things I've been obsessed with. Though I must say there isn't really anything I'm OBSESSED with at the moment, that's good I feel like I'm getting too old for obsessions. I've reached the point of just being incredibly ambitious, which could be argued as a form of obsession...

oh god obsessions...is it possible to be obsessed with obsessions? or is that just redundant and..kinda doubled over on itself?
anyway, my currently running obsessions: Harry Potter of course (within that: Daniel Radcliffe, Robert Pattinson), fonts & font colours, finding "The Right" (meaning appropriately fitting) buddy icon and then matching it with the font and font colour (does anybody else do this??!), LiveJournal icons (esp. Harry Potter ones), and finding really pretty pictures of pretty things like..faeries and stars and stuff and then making those into wallpapers or saving them into my screensaver...ok i'm gonna stop now cuz even i feel like i'm a dork...
phoenixfeathers, I NEVER change my AIM buddy icon because then I would have to change everything to make it match (colors, smilies, font, font size, etc.). Even the quotes in my profile have to be reevaluated to see if they work with the overall new scheme.
Me, OCD? Nooooo...

oh thank GOD i'm not the only one who needs total coordination!!
for the longest time i never EVER changed my buddy icons. every screen name (i have about seven) had its own distinct theme of buddy icon-font-font colour-away message theme (in accordance with the overall theme of my screen name...like which facet of my personality it represented), and i never touched them. but for the past coupla years i've been using one screen name most consistently, and i change its icon every once in awhile to match whatever phase my personality happens to be going through, and then i gotta go through the whole font/colour/whatever else fiasco. and now i'm sad because i just realized how much time i actually spend on this crap.

See, if I had a paid LJ account, I'd spend all day making icons. The ones I have are nice and multipurpose, but is life really complete without at "WTF?" and a "Bitch, please"?
