Well, the 18th letter of the Hebrew alphabet means life.
The 18th letter of the Hebrew alphabet, which may be pronounced Tzahdi or Tzaddik, is generally said to mean "righteous person" (although the letter may originate from hunting or fishing because of its fishhook shape).
The Hebrew word for life - Chai - is composed of the eighth and tenth letters of the Aleph-Bet. That is where the use of the number 18 to signify life comes in.
It is not so bad to be a Tzaddik.

Ha! Mateo- I knew it was Zac's birthday too. I'm old enough to be his big sister!!! I used to celebrate with George C. Scott and Peter Boyle. You know you're getting old when the celebrities who shared your birthday are now dead. Well, I still got Chuck Berry, Pam Dawber, and Erin Moran! Thanks, mom
