Really? I've heard from a few friends that his voice sounds very tired and worn out, and that he was not very good. After I see John a couple more times then I will see Michael.

Micheal was great the day I saw him and this was back in Novmeber. His voice didn't sound tired at all. Can't Take my Eyes Off You was the best part of the whole show. Almost everyone who I have talked to who seen him said he was great.

So if you want to see John don't try for student rush on the two show days. The evening show fills up so fast. People got in line at 3 am when I rushed and the evening was gone by 5:30 am.

Wow, I couldn't imagine standing in line at three in the morning. But I hope you get to see John when you go, Emily!

During the summer I once got there at 2a.m for tickets! It was not a very fun exeperience but it was worth it! It was very nice when John came out to give us all water and say thanks for waiting in line. It was my first time meeting him :)

I hope people aren't getting there that early anymore. I like slepping thank you very much. But if you don't want to wait in line that ealry there is always SRO.

I think that it has died down a bit due to the colder weather. But I'm still hearing that you have to get there at 4:30am!

When I did rush it was so cold it about 35 degress and even colder with the wind chill and people still got there at 3 am. So I don't think the weather will make much of a differance. But the show is worth waiting in the freezing cold for a few hours.

I agree it is very worth it :) I've heard from a few birdies though that by this summer the rush line will be a thing of the past and it will just be a day-of lottery.

I think it would be alot more fair if they went over to the lotto system. That way people won't get there at three am. Hopfully it won't be crazy like the Wicked Lotto. I was there a few months ago and it was still crazy.

BTW Andrew do you have AIM?

I'm also for the lotto system as opposed to rush. Yes it's a greater risk but some people just aren't able to be there at 3am.

My screen name is antiandrewx. I won't be on much at all this week because I have midterms that I need to study for. But when I'm on feel free to IM me. :)

I don't know about you but I like sleeping at 3 am. As much as I love Jersey Boys there is no way in hell that I will be getting up out of my warm bed so I can sit outside the theater in the freezing cold for seven hours.

When I saw the show I was in seat A10 so I had the staircase in my way not to mention the speaker was right above me so when the gun went off in the show I jumped like 2 feet out of my seat. Bobby did look over to me at one point of the show and smiled which was cool.

A lotto does sound like a better idea. It'll probably be hectic, but at least people won't be waiting outside in the cold/heat.

I have another silly question, but can someone explain to me how exactly student rush works?
#2590

Official John Lloyd Young Thread

There are 12 seats in the front row to the sides that are $26.25 they go one sale when the box office opens at around 10am and noon on Sundays. In order to get the tickets you need a student ID you show them the ID and you pay for the ticket. The lines tend to be more busy on the weekends but on weekdays they tend to be a bit more slow. Hope this helps!

Thanks!
I guess that means I actually would have to get there around 4 then?
It turns out that the tickets we have are for a Saturday matinee and I reaally want to see John so we're gonna try to get tickets for a different night (Friday or Saturday night) but they're probably sold out so I may end up doing student rush.
thanks for all the help guys!

I need to go to sleep in a few minutes, but um...we're leaving my house (in MA) at 2 a.m. tomorrow morning to try to get rush tickets for JB!!! It's a completely spontaneous thing, and I don't have school tomorrow. Words cannot describe how excited I am (it'll be my first time). Hopefully we'll get there early enough! Goodnight everyone!
