I'm so bad at not posting. I have had the whole week off and didn't post once.
I'm really happy that John is staying in JB for a little while longer. Hopfully I can see the show again.

That's great about Travis going on next week. Hopfully someone can see the show and post a review.
Hey everyone! I'm soooo happy to hear the news about John extending his contract! I was saying "yes!" for like 4 hours! lol.
Hey everyone! So happy to be back on the JLY thread. I've been having computer problems (I'm borrowing a laptop to type this, actually). So if I'm MIA for a little while, that's why.
I'm thrilled that John's staying in JB, too! My friend's co-worker will see Jersey Boys this summer, and I was sad that she wouldn't get to see John as Frankie. Now it looks like she will. I mentioned that the cast is supernice too.
I got mail from JLY today. Yay! It's always great to hear back from him.
The latest issue of Entertainment Weekly (April 27/May 4), a double issue with Spider-Man on the cover, talks about JERSEY BOYS in a sidebar (p. 121). Above the text is a pic of JLY as Frankie. Here's what it says (hope I don't get in trouble for posting the blurb in its entirety):
ASK THE CRITIC
Owen Gleiberman
Q: With HAIRSPRAY hitting theatres this summer, Sweeney Todd already in production, and Mamma Mia about to roll, what Broadway musical, past or present, would you like to see get the Hollywood treatment?
A: On stage, JERSEY BOYS (above), is the greatest jukebox musical--ever. Yet it didn't strike me, at first, as a likely candidate for a movie makeover. It's not really a conventional biopic of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. It's more like a Behind the Music episode miraculously turned into a spinning, whirling rock-history fantasia. Yet the more I thought about it, the more I realized that what's magical about Jersey Boys could, with the proper innovative treatment, result in a new kind of movie musical: a docu-pop kaleidoscope that takes the audience on a star-spangled nostalgic head trip. The key test for jukebox musicals will, of course, be Mamma Mia!, with its flimsy plot and sublime songs. If ABBA can draw significant crowds, I wouldn't count out the Four Seasons working their way back to you on the big screen.

Thanks for the Entertainment Weekly blurb Judy.
Here is a picture of my niece, Lizzie wearing the Jersey Boys hat John gave me when I saw the show a few weeks ago.
I should wear the hat to school sometime this week. But I have to worry about the preschoolers in my Child Study class. They love to wear the high school kids baseball hats.
Awww, Erin, the picture of Lizzie is precious! Thanks so much for posting it. After hearing about your adorable niece, it's great to see a picture of her in the JB cap that John gave you!
It's also a wonderful sign that Four Seasons' music is going to continue being passed on through generations. :)
That is the cutest picture ever!
I saw Company last night and it was amazing! Raul is brilliant, he needs to win the tony.
^^^ I agree! he is easily my favorite actor on broadway right now and I'll be so upset if he doesn't win it...
was that your first time seeing it?
Raul is probably my all time favorite Broadway performer. I love all of his work (well...maybe not Chitty lol). And no, this was my second time seeing it. It was even better the second time and I can't wait to go back.
hey...sorry it took so long to post. Legally Blonde was about 2 hours 20 minutes with intermission included. I found it cute and adorable, definitely a good show to see if you just want to hear upbeat songs, laugh a little, and dance around. Plus my girl Leslie Kritzer is in it and is hilarious so I am biased
I'm going back to Company two weeks from last friday and I am so excited! I'll be like three rows away.

Cute pic Erin!
I got a letter from John today! It says...
Hey, Kristina,
I bet your haircut looks great! Glad school will be over soon. I always couldn't wait for summer vacation. Yes, it was fun to meet Kathryn! Hello to Shannon.

It sucks but at the same time, atleast he isn't gone forever. Maybe plans will change and you can come back within the next 6 months.
Aww sorry RobbO he is on break this week....
Erin-the picture is adorable!!
Btw guys I saw Mary Poppins on Saturday night it was really awesome! The stage, the lighting, the music was really EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!
Erin, I agree with Judy--your neice is adorable, gorgeous eyes (and I'm loving the hat)!
And sorry that John won't be in, RobbO. I'm sure you'll have a fantastic time anyway, though. :o)
Glad you loved MP Lori!
I feel like this post is really choppy, haha.

Rachel, thanks for all of the hard work you do on Daniel's myspace page!
Kristina, cute reply from John! I, too, mentioned Kathryn in the latest letter that I sent him. I said that I was glad that they finally got to meet. :)
I hope John is having a wonderful vacation. He updated his blog with a link of a Japanese Four Seasons cover band. The band sings Sherry. The clip is quite entertaining--I love the production values and the dancing. Love that on his blog John includes fun tidbits related to JB, or recommends shows that he likes.
I saw curtains on its first night of previews. I loved it. so much! and then I saw mary poppins the next night. I liked that too.
What musicals have all of you seen?
I have seen like 18
