John's vacation is June 26th - July 8th....incase anyone wanted to know dates.
Happy Tony Day!
Aww, so this year, fans won't be able to sing Happy birthday at the SD. I plan to write him soon, so knowing his vacation dates helps! Thanks!
Yay for Tony Day. I hope the JB cast presents many awards. Can't wait to see pics!
Cant wait to see the "Boys" perform!
I've got my tivo set!

YAH!!! Tony's I am watching the. I usually try to have a party, but I have no friends who enjoy Broadway as mUch as me, and They find the Tony's Boring, So I tell them they are stupid.
They're Singing right now. YAH!!!!!

Loved the Boys performance tonight.
Overall, I was pretty pleased with all the winners tonight.

ARRG Raul was robbed big time. I love DHP and all but wow. I don't think anyone saw that coming a million miles away. Other than that one moment the awards as a whole were very boring. But the Boys were great.
LOVED THE "BOYS" TONIGHT!!!
But did anyone else notice the crowd's total lack of enthuiasm from the crowd after it was over. That made me mad=[[
I was also surprised about DHP winning it. I do love him though. I miss his "Frasier" days! Im a nerd, I tivo the re-runs and watch them!haha I think he was as surprised as the viewers were!haha

I don't know..maybe I'm tired or just pissed off at my sister but I wasn't really feeling that performance...I may just need to watch it again when I cool off

RAUL WAS ROBBED!
*flees*
Anyone see Christian go one way when everyone else went the other way in the "December '63" choreography?
I had family over last night (well, they've been visiting a week) so I was watching on/off and missed the Boys' performance. I'll watch it a bit later.
I did, however, see the preshow they hosted online, and THAT was fun. They're so engaging--I loved the bits at the end, with the ringtones and advice for the audience. Any chance that will show up on the GILG site? Erin, do you remember any of what they said?
As for the awards themselves, I wish I could have seen The Coast of Utopia--it sounds incredible. As much as I like him, DHP's win was shocking, even to him, I think. I'm sad, as I was rooting for Raul and thought he was a lock. Raul's performances can bring me to tears sometimes. But DHP, not surprisingly, gave a classy acceptance speech. With Bebe Neuwirth and John Mahoney there, it was like a mini Frasier reunion.
As for SA, the things I like best about that show are John Gallagher Jr. and Duncan's music. So I was happiest about JGJ's win, above them all.
Christine, welcome back to posting on the thread!! And how many more days until school gets out?

When DHP won I was shocked. I thought Raul was a lock too. I'm happy that one of my predictions was right, though; John Gallagher Jr.'s win.
I've got three more days. One more full day [tomorrow] and then Wednesday and Thursday are half-days for finals.
Truthfully i though Gavin would Have gotten it.
Loved the Boys' performance last night...and I did notice Christian's little mess-up near the end, but he caught himself early and went the right way, which was good.
I'm hoping the preshow turns up on the GILG site (or anywhere), like Judy mentioned...I was at a friend's graduation party so I missed it. Hopefully I'll get to see it eventually!

Prob the first time in dance history with the boys Christian messed up and it wasn't John. He messed up on live television not once but twice! Recovered quickly though.
I didn't see the pre-telecast since I was getting ready then went to the Roundabout party (everyone go see 110 in the Shade). I bet they did a nicejob though.
25th Annual Speller... Gavin was good but never ever even mentioned for winning. DHP was a surprise but he atleast was a true lead in his show. Gavin never had a chance and Raul prob did deserve to win. I haven't seen Company but I love Raul and did see Curtains and DHP was nothing amazing. I think Groff was better in SA. Ohwell... no point in harping on the past.

I would love to see 110 in the Shade. I'm in love with Audra McDonald. My parents saw the show back in April and loved it.
I might be taking a bus down to the city somtime in the summer to see a show but I'm not to sure what I should see. I would love to see Grey Gardens or Company. Any ideas?
I say COMPANY. John Doyle's productions are absolutely brilliant. I cannot believe it's closing.
I second the Company vote, Erin.
I just came home and am sad to see that the show will be closing so soon.

I won't be in the city before July 1st so I can't see Company which makes me sad. So I might be seeing GG. As I said I'm not to sure if I'll be going down it depends on what happens.
Here are some photos from the Tony ball.

I love the last one of Ankia Noni Rose
Thanks for the picture link, Erin. I loved the picture of JLY with Des McAnuff. :) We should post Tony pics in here...
I also loved seeing pics of Taye and Idina on the red carpet and at the SA victory party.
Hey everyone, I received some bad news today. My Mom found out that her older sister (my Aunt) has Lung Cancer. I remember the last time my mom talked to her she said that she sounded like she has Cancer....and now she does.
I hope she gets better, we don't wanna lose her! I mean when I was 10 years old my grandfather on my Moms side died and I couldn't bare it. I mean when he died I relaized that I can't put up with death! I just had to go to another room during his funeral. When I went back to school I felt that a part of me died. So from Feb. to the rest of my 4th grade school year I was the saddest person in the 4th grade. I was soo close to him and since my Aunt has Cancer she might have to go through the same thing he did.
