God that is really scary. I think it would be best if they stopped rush now because I'm worried for the people who might wait in line for the shows tomorrow and sunday

Oh my god, that's really terrifying. I guess it really is for the best that they're stopping the rush now...things are getting too crazy. I'm so glad that you guys are ok, and that the college student seems to be doing well. Wonder if they'll be continuing rush for the last few days...I can only imagine it'd be worse with the scalpers trying to make their last few bucks.

Omigod, thats horrible! Thank god your ok!! Im happy that there will be no more rush. Atleast we know that no more incidents like that will be happening again. The police thing is the worst, but sadly im not surprised! Im glad that you all werent hurt, and that the college student is doing better. There are a lot of messed up people in the world, it's just a a shame.

I'm really glad the college student is doing much better and I'm glad there will be no more rush after this weekend.

edit: Has anyone here see Xanadu? My parents saw the show today and loved it. Right now I'm addicted to the title song from the moive. I'm singing it around the house on the top of my lungs since my parents aren't here for the weekend.

Hey y'all! Sorry I've been away for awhile. After having family visit, we went away on vacation. But I'm back now. Does anyone have big plans for July 4th (John's birthday)?

It's been a year since I first heard the JB cast recording. Although I've listened to it consistently all these months, something about the weather is reminding me of my first days as a JB fan. It also helps that songs like Sherry and Walk Like a Man are so upbeat and happy, and summer is my favorite time of the year. And not that I needed to be reminded, but JLY sounds positively wonderful on the recording.

Aw, LOTR! I haven't seen those movies in awhile, Erin, but you're making me want to watch them again. I LOVE them, easily my favorite films within the past several years. Eowyn is my favorite character. While I'm happy she ends up with Faramir, I also liked her and Aragorn together a lot. I was rooting for E&A and E&F the whole time.

I'm glad that LOTR (like the classic Star Wars saga) was able to prove that fantasy films, when acted well and from the heart, taken seriously, and executed perfectly, were just as legitimate as other dramatic films and worthy of accolades and respect. Broadly speaking, a similar argument could be made re: JERSEY BOYS and the jukebox musical. Also, both LOTR and JB have brotherhood and cameraderie as themes (hey, four hobbits, Four Seasons....), and both are based on material that is considered timeless.

Have a good week, everyone! I'll try to post more now that I'm back.

Hi everyone! My friends visited the JB Stage door and Lori was there! *waves* They called me and I got to talk to her and I also got to talk to a certain someone John Lloyd Young Love Thread If you know who I'm talking about John Lloyd Young Love Thread.....I didn't know if he knew it was me until I heard him say Shannon (my sister). They told him when they were handing him the phone, "It's Kristina from South Carolina!" So I guess he knew who I was. John Lloyd Young Love Thread It was great talking to him again. It has been 6 months. WOW. My friend told me that some people were asking him who he was talking to and he said, "This sweet and nice girl named Kristina from South Carolina." or something like that. My friends said it looked like he was glad when he was talking to me. He made my day. John Lloyd Young Love Thread

Kristina, it's so cool that you got to talk to JLY! What did he say? Were you nervous at all? :)

He said, "Hi! How are you?" and I told him I'm great and I'm in JERSEY. Then he said "Tell Shannon I said to take care." Then we both said bye. When my friend told me he was out and people were screaming and I screamed! She was like "Calm down." And yes I was kinda nervous. John Lloyd Young Love Thread It was short and very sweet.

Wow, what happened at the rush sounds horrible and really scary. I'm glad they got rid of it. It's shame that that had to happen at all, though.

Judy, I'm feeling the same way about JB with the weather. It's weird, but when I think of summer now, I think of listening to JB on my old CD player. John Lloyd Young Love Thread

I've been away from the board for a few days (summer school, gearing up for another vacation, etc.). But seriously, this thread should always been on the first page.

Here's wishing JLY (and America) an early happy birthday!

Seeing the show tomorrow! So excited! I'm going to miss JLY but that's ok because 90% of the time I've seen the show he has been in it.

Hey All *waves*!!Haven't been on here(actually my computer) in a couple of days. I've been trying to get everything that needs to be done like crammed into these past 2 weeks. Hasn't exactly worked though. It's good 'ole dead period here in Kentucky, and that means NO CHEERLEADING for 2 WHOLE WEEKS!! I was just a tad bit excited. Sadly, we didn't get to go to the beach cause we spent our whole time planning on going to see JB(which didnt work out sadly). But I'm kinda ok with that now considering JLY wouldn't have been there. Hopefully he'll still be there on my families next trip up there.

I did get a chance to go see "Wicked" in Columbus, Oh. last Thursday. It was wonderful, like always. I guess that was my big vacation for now, not the most relaxing trip I might add. But it was still good!

Well it's officially the 4th now. So Happy Birthday to JLY(and USA)=]]

I love the song too - but his rendition was generic at best. Why didn't they play the Louis Armstrong version - its perfect.

Mr. Youngs version was not , and adding that falsetto at the end was torture.

John Lloyd Young Love Thread

Yeah I have to admit I really wasn't feeling the falsetto that he added.
