I have some other things about the interview! Since Daniel LOVES chicken, they were all talking about his chicken refrences and Daniel said this in a high pitched Granny voice with an old rasp to it he said this "WHERE'S MY CHICKEN!" Also @ the begining of the interview they were all talking about Broadway Bares! and they asked Daniel a question, I think it was Christian who asked this question, he asked Daniel this "did you strip?" and Daniel said "No that destroyed my inner thighs." I was like "Oh my god!"
Then near the end Seth asked christian his favorite song & he said Rag Doll because of the story behind it. here is the story. The 4 Seasons just got done recording an album in 1964 & on the way back they stop at a stop light & they see this girl dressed up in ragged clothes and she comes up and she starts to wipe the window of their car and Bob & Tommy are saying "God, Doesn't she look like a doll." & Bob says "yeah like a Rag Doll" so they give her some money & in 20 minutes Bob calls Tommy & Bob says that he has a song written & the song was Rag Doll! That is such a cool story!

I've never heard that before, but thank you for posting it! I was wondering what the meaning of it was, and I'm still wondering if there are any personal meanings behind a couple of The Four Seasons songs.

They had squeegee people back in 1964?
I thought that back in that more innocent time, the destitute and the homeless were kept out of sight.

Jersey Gal is that off of one of the podcast interviews? I remember hearing that interview I just dont remember where.

She's right, I am pretty sure it was 64 or 65.
Ok I am thinking about having a Jersey Boy chat on AIM, so if you want to join send me your screen name in a pm.
Well Bob Guadio always tells that story & christian talked about it in the interview with Seth so I don't know. I just cannot believe that is how Bob wrote Rag Doll! That is my favorite 4 Seasons song.
Of course Oh What A Night has a story to it! It's when Bob got 'lucky' for the first time. Beggin' is about the boys going bankrupt and the Meledy is when the band is growing a part. Is there anything I need to add even though I know a lot about the show doesn't mean I've seen it. If I've seen I'll put up a review for you all which will be in December so i'll be singing Oh What A Night after I see it with my sister.

Probably seeing one of the shows that are closing today. *sigh* They don't deserve to go this soon...
BTW, cute kitty.

Also, not to complain but they might have felt that this thread was moving off into the direction of a private chat room.
Just a thought.

Why do you say that? Because of the banality? Or is it something else?
No but you can always PM me if you want! Another thing, everyone Seth Rudetsky is back in NYC! So he might send me an e-mail pretty soon. Keep your fingers crossed and pray!
Tennesee: Thanks for the reminder to keep us on topic and focused. :) It is easy to drift.
It's been a quiet weekend, I suppose. I really hope John is getting some well-needed rest.
I went on John's site and read some of his pre-Jersey Boys reviews. What strikes me is, that while the roles that he's played are all very challenging and diverse, some aspects of what I admire in his "Frankie" are there. The sheer intensity, the focus, showing growth as a character so believably, being unafraid to show vulnerability. He really is soulful as a performer and "fiercely talented" (to borrow a phrase Tennesee used earlier).
To illustrate my point:
"...a top-notch group of actors....YOUNG’s eyes beautifully communicate the pain this boy feels because
of his father's seeming indifference....Kropfl brings an equal measure of charm to his role. The actor’s performance
contains a certain brash exuberance, which nicely complements YOUNG’s quiet desperation as Danny."
"JOHN LLOYD YOUNG gives a powerful performance as Danny,
handling linguistic and emotional transitions with polished ease."
"I will be watching for both of these young men's names — if real talent still means anything,
they will both be seen on many more stages and screens in years to come."
There are a bunch of detailed fine reviews on his site, so I won't repeat them all. I was surprised to read that he has played a developmentally disabled character as well; I'd love to ask him about it. I added that last review comment b/c I've watched a few, unprofessional (or youth in training) productions in my area. And you just never know. It's kind of like watching the minor leagues. It's fun to recognize potential and to see how far people can go, if they only have the opportunities and are able to seize them.
Ok, sorry, I'm going off on tangents...again. :)

Kathryn: Sorry if it's not going to work out tonight. I wasn't sure if I'd be able to do it either.
Judy, thanks for posting the link to the reivews, I love going and reading them.
You're welcome! Actually I'm surprised to have been a fan for this long and not read many of them, past the JB stuff.
And everyone, btw, my name is Judy (I don't know that I ever formally said that!) It's just that I kinda dislike that name b/c it's plain, LOL. Alejandra is a variation on my middle name. :)
Seth was talking about the national tour of JBs and he says that it will be a HUGE success! He is so right! who agrees with me?

There is nothing wrong with the name Judy, I like it, it reminds me of judy garland.
Jersey Gal Love your new picture, it's so cute!
Thanks! I'm listening to Seth's Big Fat Broadway on SIRIUS 77 right now he is so cool! I hope that before JLY leaves JBs Seth can interview him for another Studio A. that would be so cool!
Another thing I forgot to mention about the baseball game is that my sister said that JLY winked @ her when they were leaving! I was like WHY!!!!!!!!! Can someone please tell me why these things happen to me!
Oh, JLY. I hope he announces soon if he's leaving or not - the suspense is killing me!
How was everyone's weekend?
Well I will be going to bed pretty soon. has anybody checked out my blog? here is the link https://Kristina.broadwayworld.com i started it today so it will be a full page pretty soon!
Very nice blog! Love the pink.
I just keep mine at Livejournal. It's amazing that just by going to your friend page you can learn what's going on in everyone's life.
Design-wise and in terms of actual blogging, I love the look and ease of LJ.
Elle, I just visited your site again. It really is a treasure. I especially like the photo gallery and love that you've included pics from the La Jolla run. Nice to see the contrast, even though the show overall didn't change much.
The flea market event is coming up. I guess we'll hear soon who's going to be there.
Just updated my Blog! My cousin Jenny just gave birth to two boys! Since she is in Alabama now and she comes from NJ I guess you can call them Jersey Boys all I have to do is sing Walk like a Man to them! Their names are kinda weird. I had a name in mind for both of the boys.......Johnathon Lloyd & Christian James but no their names are Devon Cole & Dillon Cade.

I'm hoping I'll be able to go! It all depends if my football game runs late *curses marching band* I wonder if the boys will do the celebrity table... I'm not a big fan of it. I'd much rather go to the different tables and see who's there. The year I went it wasn't that crowded. However, I hear it's more crazy.

I know I will be going this year. I went last year and it was really crowded but I had a good time.
Speaking of the flea market I am still looking for someone to do the JB rush with me for the afternoon show so please PM me if you would like to join me in line.
