Hey Lori!
Here is the link to matthew web site, www.matt-scott.com, he a lot of really grwat pictures on it.
Hi Lori and Person of Interest, *waves*
Hey guys. Just curious if someone can tell me, is the original cast slated to still be intact through the holidays? This could be a totally dumb question but I figured I'd go right to the best source for jB info, you guys! Someone pvt msg me and let me know please!
This is not a dumb question. :) As far as I know, their contracts are up soon; JLY's on October 1 (though his site says Oct 6). But there's no official word yet on who is/is not extending.
Oh, the suspense...

Kathryn: I'll check out those sites. :)
Tennessee and Wendy-- My interest is piqued, about Sunset Boulevard. Unfortunately I've never seen it. So my exposure has been limited to isolated performances on specials like the ALW Birthday Celebration, in which Norma/Glenn was the highlight, and Joe was just part of the set up.
Coincidentally, haven't both Glenn and JLY been in adaptations of Sarah Plain and Tall?
I'm glad you liked Ewan on stage, Wendy. He's one of my favorites!
When I lurked at the West End board awhile back, at least a couple of other posters had said that they'd seen and loved Jersey Boys. And I thought one of them had said they talked to JLY and he mentioned Cameron being in the audience. I thought that was cool to read about, LOL.
Maybe JB is one of those shows some people might go into feeling skeptical. But then, once you've seen it, you want to watch it over and over.
Anybody else listen to the JB podcast? The fans who run it do a great job!

Wow, I'd never heard the "Sarah, Plain and Tall" clips...it's weird hearing John not singing in his falsetto like he is in most of JB. He still sounds great though, and young too. Thanks for posting the link, Kathryn!

Oh, the suspense...
Ah, I know! I find myself sitting in algebra class wondering if any of the original Boys are going to stay for just a little bit longer. I feel really psycho/obsessed right now...

Indeed they have! Glen in the TV movie and JLY in a stage musical adaptation of the book.
Is that a sign from the gods that they should do Sunset Blvd together?!
Actually, I've never seen a production of the musical either. But I've read so much about it at this site and other places, that I almost feel as though I have.
I have seen the movie numerous times and supposedly the plot of the stage musical is very faithful to the movie. So I'm guessing I'd love the musical, even if the music isn't the absolute best. The story is just so dark and seedy. I luuuuv that kinda stuff.
Also, it was Glen along with Harry Belafonte, who presented JLY with his Tony award. It's destined to happen I tell ya!
Okay. I'm being silly. Still, the producers of that film could do a whole lot worse than John.
He still sounds great though, and young too.
I think he was playing very young in both Sarah and Summer of Swans. In SOS, he was playing a fourteen year-old. I guess there are some advantages for an actor who is sorta short, slight and sweet-faced.

I hope you enjoy the show on sunday Lori. Hopfully I will be seeing it in a few weeks.
Hi Lori: Good luck getting tickets this weekend! John should be back in tonight, or at least I hope. Maybe someone will go tonight and give a report to let us know.
A good sign is that he's updated his blog. Apparently acid reflux was a root cause of his getting sick (poor guy!).

Happy Birthday wishes to friend Kate Wetherhead, whose birthday is a few days away. Kate and I had dinner at Babbo the other day to celebrate early. Kate's currently in the company of ...SPELLING BEE on Broadway and will soon begin rehearsals for the upcoming Broadway production of Larry O'Keefe and Nell Benjamin's LEGALLY BLONDE.
Thank you to voice doctor, Jeffrey Libin, for getting to the bottom of a real mystery for me over the past few months. Acid reflux is a problem for many singers and can cause sinus infections and a variety of other problems that can get in the way of a clear voice. It's not always obvious you have it, but it's very treatable. (This is what happens when an actor accidentally finds himself having to be a singer: you learn as you go!) I'm very relieved and very happy to send him something to grace his walls with all the other signed memorabilia from the celebrated singers he's treated.
I thought it was interesting that he referred to himself as "an actor who sings," because I've thought that too. He has a beautiful, smooth voice, but when I think of him, I tend to think first in terms of being an incredible actor.
Gotta get back to work. I'll check in later. :)
J.

Thanks Alejandra925. I hope so too!
Yeah I read his blog, poor guy!!!
Hey y'all,
Where is everybody? Kathryn, are you around today? :)
Jennifer Naimo updated her blog. The JB cast recorded a song for a Christmas CD. How exciting.
Also, some more news about Broadway on Broadway this weekend. I'd love to hear Matthew sing Oh What a Night, I love that song! And if he's not having to perform, then JLY can rest his voice more.
Well, I just got home from our alloted time slot to record our version of “O Holy Night.” Our musical director ROn Melrose arranged it via email as he’s away getting The Wiz at LaJolla Playhouse into shape. We lost our beloved Titus Burgess to that production, but at least we know Ron is returning in a few weeks. Titus is playing the Lion…
Most of the cast volunteered to do the recording. All the Broadway shows are invited to choose a song and come and record it. It’s always interesting to sing about Christmas when it’s 80 degrees outside. But there were 10 solos in our song, so almost everyone got to sing a line or two solo. It will be fun to hear the completed version near Christmas. And then, all of the proceeds from the sales of the Bway CD will again go to help men, women and children with AIDS.
Tomorrow, we have rehearsal too for a rendition of OH WHAT A NIGHT that we’ll perform at TImes Square,11:30AM, this Sunday the 10th for “Broadway on Broadway”..we’re #9 to perform. And, Matthew Scott will be performing the Bob Gaudio solo lead on it as Daniel Reichard is on vacation. Don’t look for the Jersey Girls to be wearing their skimpy brothel outfits..we will be more casual and clothed ..possibly in our Jersey Boys’ bowling shirts. Hope to see you all there..Jennifer
Alejandra925 I saw that posted last night too lol.
I never saw Matthew Scott play the part of Bob Guido, I'm sure it will be great if I get in
I just hope they don't look at my student college ID to hard lol, the box office meaning, its say 12/02 it doesn't say when it expires though. I should be fine right?
Lori...don't worry, they don't look too hard at the IDs. You should be fine.
I saw Matthew Scott go on as Tommy and he was great as him, so I am sure he is awesome as Bob too.
I'm going to rush on Thursday the 21st...anyone else wanna join?!?!? COME ON....lol
Anyone around? I'm staying in tonight, I got a horrible sinus headache
Aw, Lori, I'm sorry you're not feeling well. That's awful.

Off- Topic: I have only been in school for a week and it feels like I have been it for a month already. May 31st cannot come fast enough.
