Thanks, It was my second time seeing it on Sunday, I saw it the first time June 3rd. They are amazing, talented, and such a sweetest cast on broadway I have ever met.
You haven't seen it yet? I thought you have?

Well 100% of my dads side of my family live's in NJ. 20% of my moms side of the family lives in NJ. Plus being born in the same state as The 4 Seasons, Bill Joel, and Bruce Springteen and the Eaststreet Band means alot to me.
I got a PM from this person who said the cat in my avatar is the cutest cat ever! very nice of them to do that!
Sometimes I go to Jersey City. maybe, if i'm lucky I might spot JLY! If I do I'll just walk away. I know that's a very stupid thing to do but what can i say I'm very shy. LOL!
Lori, sounds like you had a great time in NYC seeing JB! The first time you saw JB was on my birthday, actually. I would love to see JB on my birthday, but my last day of school is always the 2nd, so it wouldn't work out so well [I'm on the wrong coast!]. I love the collage you made! I have a JB collage in my room, too. I should add my own photos with the cast...
I wanted to see JB in SF, but I'm not sure if I'm going to my able to. I've heard that all the good seats are already gone. Does anyone know if they'll have student rush?
Aww thank you kaibranch Yes it was a blast! I hope you get to see the show in San Fransico, its amazing! They should have student rush. When does it open there?
I'm sooooooo bored tonight lol, don't feel like going to work tomorrow.....anyone around?

I saw the show twice in NYC and loved it. Hopefully I'll get to see it in SF, but if I don't I'll still be happy that I got to see [most of] the OBC. The show opens December 1st- woah, it'll be cold. I'd still do it, though. That show is so incredibly worth it. I just hope the cast is good. A show like this really depends on the talent of the actors.

I don't think I would be able to go up to an actor and start talking, either. I'm not shy, I just wouldn't want to bother him or her. Plus I have no idea what I would say. It's easier at the stagedoor... "Hi, you were great tonight!"

Very cool, at least you saw the Orginial cast. I'm sure the new cast would be great.

The JB book, the story/script/pacing, and direction are really solid. It's such a fantastic show, and the audience gets so into it. Like kaibranch said, though, it's an extraordinary, dedicated cast that helped to elevate the Broadway production to a whole other stratosphere.
So I hope the tour cast will be great too. Casting for individual talents might be hard enough, but whether the cast has chemistry is kind of the intangible factor, isn't it? Is chemistry something that's just *there*, or could it build over time? (But as JLY said,I think, the relationships are part of the fabric of the story anyhow).
What makes me a little sad is that, while I *am* excited about the national tours that are coming to my area this season--I'm also like, "But I really wanna see the Jersey Boys tour!"
Hey everyone...haven't been around in a while and was just posting to say hello and post this adorable picture of John from his years at Brown...

No, that's from a few years ago in NYC. That is a photo of SUMMER OF THE SWANS, which was done at the Lortel Theatre in the summer of '03. That is Kate Wetherhead in the photo with him. She is currently an understudy in SPELLING BEE. John and Kate were also in SARAH, PLAIN AND TALL together.
I think the confusion is that the Brown alum site uses that photo...but it's not from when he was at Brown.
Speaking of SARAH, PLAIN and TALL, Kate and John both sound wonderful and give great performances on the cast recording. I bought a copy recently through Amazon. :)
Ahh...my faux pas. Thanks for clearing that up. I do love the JLY fro going on in that pic though

I am so happy right now because I got a reponse back from John today. He signed my CD cover, a signed playbill which I asked for, a sweet note from him and to top it all off I also got a signed head shot(I didn't even ask for it!) This has made my week! So John if you're reading this thank you so much!
About the Flea Market: I think JB blog has their info worng because I was just at the BC/FEA website and they have Christian signing at 1 PM and the rest of the guys at noon.
The towel waving reminded me of a Per?nist rally. I kept chanting "Evita!" whenever they'd pan to the crowds. - SM2
