DRS featured on Radio Playbill

That's my nephew's birthday!

Maybe I can make it. That is the day after my summer classes end, so I'll have to do some planning around that, but it is definately possible.

Rock on. DRS featured on Radio Playbill If nothing else (and if we're not able to sit together), we can meet up after the show and I can babble to you about it. Hehe.

Do you have AIM?

Nice new avatar, Emcee. La-dee-da..

La-dee-da..

Aren't they pretty?

#332

La-dee-da..

They are indeed. My avatar is prettier, though. La-dee-da..
#333

La-dee-da..

Can't they be equal?

La-dee-da..

That smiley face.. oh my God. Excuse me while I die laughing over it.

#336

La-dee-da..

Ahem. Anyways... yes, I suppose they can be equal. *Shifty eyes*
#337

La-dee-da..

No shifty eyes! *hides from shifty eyes*

After all, Adam's friends with both of them. So... he can be the tie-in that makes it all okay! La-dee-da..

*SHIFTY EYES OF DOOM*

This is true. Hmmm. Does he know Patrick Wilson, too? La-dee-da..
#339

La-dee-da..

I wouldn't be surprised if they've crossed paths, but that's a totally different sort of actor. Patrick's not quite in that "rock musical" circle. How I'd love that, though.

The shifty eyes of doom remind me of the DEATH STARE!

La-dee-da..

Well, yes and no about Patrick being in the "rock circle". I believe Norbert did the workshops of BLBC before Patrick came in (I'm assuming they both played Jamie).

I dunno if Patrick and Adam have ever met, but Anthony Rapp helped with BLBC back in '98/'99 (I think) and Jesse L. Martin is on the CD with Patrick. So there's a couple of Rent alumni he's worked with.

Patrick and Raul probably met the year TFM and TRHS were at the Tonys.

La-dee-da..

Talking about avatars made me change mine. I'm so impressionable...LOL.

mmmm, Patrick. I love him. And I rock on to Adam's Civilian, whenever I can manage to stop playing L5Y. Neither Patrick nor Adam reaches my level of Norbert love, though. La-dee-da...

Despite their different sound, it's odd that Patrick and Adam were both considered for the lead role in a movie called Shooting Livien, but the director went another route.

ooooh, I did not know that Norbert and Patrick worked together. I love that. La-dee-da.. Yay connections!

Niiice avatar, Alejandra. I remember that movie; Adam pulled out to do Cabaret.

La-dee-da..

I don't think Norbert and Patrick actually worked together, just crossed paths. If I'm correct in thinking that Norbert was Jamie in the workshops.. then Patrick took over as Jamie for the NYTW and off-Broadway run of BLBC.

What happened to Patrick then? Oklahoma/Angels in America get in the way or something?
#344

La-dee-da..

Did it go any farther than that? I thought it wasn't really a success. Oklahoma! opened in March of 2002, and AiA filmed the following fall, I think.

#345

La-dee-da..

No, the farthest BLBC was off-Broadway.

I know for awhile Patrick filmed AiA during the day and then did Oklahoma at night. That man = impressive.

Another thing I just remembered is that Norbert and Patrick were both up for Lead Actor in a Musical at the 2002 Tonys. They definitely had to have crossed paths then, if not at just the luncheon.
#346

La-dee-da..

Yep, I don't think he missed very many performances at all, even though the two projects totally overlapped.

#347

La-dee-da..

As I said, Patrick = impressive. I don't know how he did it without exhausting himself to death..
#348

La-dee-da..

hey! My favorite part was when he was the brother! Oh my i drew a blank on the name!! He was really so great. I wish they brought last five years back with him and sherie since they had such great chemistry.
"At the opening night party, they had clowns on stilts, jugglers, a chocolate fountain, popcorn, hot dogs. [My son] looked at me like I had been holding back. Like, 'This is what you do?' I had to tell him, 'No, no, darling. Opening nights don't usually look like this.' It's usually a dark bar with a bottle of vodka." ?Chitty Chitty Bang Bang's Jan Maxwell plus i proudly share the title of the shortest member over the age of 10 with wickedrentq!
