The mystery has been solved! Yay! And the Carousel pics are great too!
Hi everybody, I'm making my bww debut today. I'd just like to thank everyone who made this possible. I'd like to thank Norbert for being so gorgeous and talented. And I'd also like to thank thespian geek and emcee for encouraging me to join when everyone else told me not to. Thank you, thank you so much!
You make it sound like you're winning a Tony or something.
Hi.
That was the point.
*giggles*
I'm never gonna win a Tony, so why not be silly with my posts.
If I ever win a Tony and become famous... I fear the amount of blackmail people that I know have against me.
The lyrics and the melody of Babydoll had me going "This is Norbert?" at first but I seriously love that song.
And I have to admit it, but after broadway betty said, "thank you, thank you so much" in her post, I heard Sherie's voice in my head (as Cathy Hiatt in L5Y). *sigh* I need help. LOL.

If you need help, then so do I, because that happened to me too!

Ah, it's nothing a little down time with Norbert wouldn't cure.

Avenue Q and Assassins. There may have been a few more, but I don't remember them.
I'd like to share something with everyone here on Norbert's love thread. I'm super shy but I had to write a poem for my creative writing class. All work must be read aloud and I almost dropped this class because of that. But today I read my poem in class and afterwards I told my professor that she must've done some voo-doo spell on me because I was actually excited about reading it. This isn't going to change your life, but it's about Norbert.
Dirty Rotten Anticipation
The Imperial Theater is beautiful
Red and gold and filled with sparkling chandeliers
But I don't care, I came to see Norbert
The red velvet seats are comfy and the blue waves on the curtain
Are soothing
But I can't sit still, it's almost time for Norbert
The lights fade and the overture begins, I'm shaking
The curtain rises and my heart is pounding so hard that I can no
Longer hear the orchestra
John, Gregory, Joanna, chorus boys and chorus girls
Any second now it's Norbert city
Norbert Leo Roger Emcee Jamie Camille Fiyero Freddy Butz
It's him

Yes! Norbert must win! This isn't a silly fangirl saying this just because she loves him. Well, I do love him but that's beside the point. His performance is just so impressive. He has no shame and holds nothing back. He gives everything he has in DRS and is rightfully exhausted at the end of the night. Norbert sets the stage on fire and he should be rewarded for that. And it's not like he's the only good thing in DRS, the show is wonderful. But he definetly deserves the Tony. Oh Norbert, how I love thee!

I'm so torn you have no idea. I want them both to win. Is that possible?! Why can't one of them be up for best featured actor?!!! *bites nails*
I love both Norbert and Raul. Well, I probably love Norbert more and it just feels like it's Norbert's time to shine. I think it's kinda weird that Raul is gonna be in a family show. He won't be able to use that grrrrrr in his voice that I love so much. It seems like he's gonna be tamed and a talent like Raul's should be let loose. Does anybody get what I'm saying. They're both enormously talented but Raul should've won last year and Norbert should win this year. Norbert!Norbert!
Hey y'all...
I want a hug too, darnit! LOL, j/k.
As far as the Tonys talk goes--Norbert must win! LOL. I'd still love him if he didn't, of course, and it wouldn't take away from a phenomenal performance...but this is an ideal opportunity.
Does anyone know about a movie called Looking for an Echo??Norbert provided the singing voice for one of the characters. What is funny is that, while there aren't many reviews of the film, Norbert's voice is very highly praised, particularly for a song called "I Swear"? Something like that. They love Norbert...even though they don't know who he is. Someone on Amazon.com even complained that Norbert's version of the song is not on the official soundtrack, b/c not only was it more beautiful but also more emotionally resonant, etc.

FYI, some info on this movie...

broadway betty- I am laughing my ass off!!! Thank you for my new signature! I know *exactly* what you mean though, I was talking about that the other day with another board member. I happen to love that "grrrrrrr" very, VERY much!
Awwwwww. Chrys is quoting little ol' me? Aw shucks. *wipes tears*
But yeah, you get what I'm saying. Raul won't be able to get all his aggressions out. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy as pie that Raul will be starring in a big Broadway musical but I would've never thought of him in such a family-friendly role.
But Norbert gets to use these comedic abilities that have been hidden for his whole career. He's shameless in this role and I love every second of it! Norbert's the one to beat. I can't wait to see DRS again!
Emcee, no puppy dog eyes! Raul will surely be competition. Actors like Raul make material better just by doing what they do. He'll definetly put some fear in Norbert just because he's a terrific actor but Norbert must win! You saw him, you know.
thespian geek, did your friend like Spamalot? And is your friend a Monty Python?
>>Actors like Raul make material better just by doing what they do.
Yep. Raul can pull off anything.
I think that statement also applies to Norbert. Actors like Raul and Norbert can both do wonders with whatever they're given. :)
Alejandra
Raul can do ANYTHING. Wedding dresses, angry gay men, junkie in suspenders, transexual Brazillian dwarf - he can do ANYTHING. Even if the Chitty part isn't the greatest, and probably isn't Tony worthy, he's going to make it great. I guess it'll be nice for him to do something light after what he went though in the Spring.
BUT GO NORBERT! TONY!
