Oh, The Hypocrisy

I was in history today, when someone broguht up the possibility of the draft beinf reinstated.

Then two of the most conservative, pro-war people I've met start saying how that is terrible and they would never, ever, ever go off to war even if they were drafted.

Yet they fully support the War in Iraq. They just don't want to risk their own lives, only the lives of others.

sick.

And of course they were republicans.

Hey, if I were drafted, I'd go. But that's just one Israeli's perspective. As it is, I'll be the first person in my family in 3 generations who hasn't served in the Israeli military.

re: Oh, The Hypocricy

May I revise one of your statements:

2) I am against any type of forced conscription that lets people get out out of it because they are going to school (Clinton and Bush.....but not Kerry) or are because they are female.

re: Oh, The Hypocricy

You are one bitter individual.

Condemning people to hell simply because they have different political ideologies?

Sad, and slighty scary.

And Hillary Clinton is one of the greatest individuals to have ever held a political office, with outstanding strength and tremendous character.

re: Oh, The Hypocricy

I am sorry, but I take to great offense that you called me stupid. If you wanted to say something, you could have said ignorant, not stupid.

But I am not ignorant, either. I watch CNN 50% of the time and FOX NEWS the other 50% to get balanced perspectives. I read the liberal NEW YORK TIMES and the consevative DALLAS MORNING NEWS. I am highly read in the current, and past, elections despite only being 16.

You calling me stupid just makes yourself look like an ass.

re: Oh, The Hypocricy

You are in pretty dangerous territory when you call some stupid for their beliefs but don't back up that claim with facts. You sound like a name calling little kid. It is called logic. Use it. You aren't going to convert anyone here by using name calling. If you explain why you don't like Hillary's stances on things fine, but please tell him why you don't agree instead of trying to insult a group of people and hoping that will make things blow over. I actually think Hillary is a great politician. Whether you like her beliefs or not she is great at what she does.

re: Oh, The Hypocricy

Well, for one, we don't exploit the tragic deaths of Americans for votes.

We call for social plans to help the families of the victims, not the owners of the big businesses that rented inside of the buildings.

Hmm...that certainly looks like calling Priest stupid, despite the fact that he certainly is not.

re: Oh, The Hypocricy

I just can't understand how anyone can look at the last four years and think, "FOUR MORE YEARS!" Like it was a really great experience. I can see how neo-Nazis might support legalized bigotry, but I didn't realize there were so many of them. Bush was the worst thing that ever happened to Texas and one of the worst things that ever happened to North America. Do you think he'll list "Incited a simultaneous worldwide protest" on his resumé?

re: Oh, The Hypocricy

We haven't been given anything to do, Rodney.

Bush ****ing wasted all the patriotic sentiment that was built up after 9/11. He used it to snatch more power for the executive branch and to persuade people that the war in a country that hadn't attacked us in any way since 1993 was more important than the war in the place where the terrorists who hit us actually trained.

People were desperate for some way to help after the attacks. Blood banks were overflowing, charitable donations went up, supplies had to be turned away because of excess. When the American people are moved to act, there is no stronger force in this world.

But Bush and his lies and his power grabs turned that loyalty into cynicism. And that's why people don't want to do anything.

Mission Accomplished my @ss..lying to the American public making it seem like the war was over and people are still dying there and for what?
