Olbermann out at MSNBC

Perhaps he's going to take over the 9 pm spot at CNN, 'cause that Piers guy is bombing big time, imho.

Olbermann out at MSNBC

At 10 PM, Anderson Cooper is going to reveal whether or not Olbermann was fired.

Olberman's show was MSNBC's top-rated show, the ONLY MSNBC show to break past the million-viewer barrier. For them to let him go means something really bad must have gone down.

Olbermann out at MSNBC

People are immediately going to invoke Phil Donahue getting the same treatment despite the ratings. Despite not being a real KO fan, I am pretty shocked with this move by MSNBC.

Olbermann out at MSNBC

I am not a fan of Olbermann, and I'll be much more likely to watch O'Donnell. O'Donnell is much more of a true journalist, and he has already landed some plum interviews. That said, everything indicates that Olbermann has gotten screwed by the change in ownership. I hope he lands on his feet somewhere.

Olbermann out at MSNBC

Eh, it's hard for me to get worked up about this in the same way I can't quite believe that some people get their hearts broken when multi-million dollar earning athletes "lose" in their respective playoffs. I guess it's sad, or whatever, but that's showbiz and everybody gets paid. It's not like when real people lose their jobs.

I'm pretty sure the moral of the story is pretty simple, and one that workers learn over and over again: you can't get involved in public genitalia size contests with your boss without eventually losing your job.

I'll feel worse when pictures of Keith at a homeless shelter or a soup kitchen appear on TMZ.
