Brut - I still love it I will admit. My brother used to get those little gift sets for Christmas when we were younger, and I thought it was the dreamiest smell, haha. And then they came out with the Blue version!

Hubby used the Old Spice deodorant/shower gel too.

BroadwayBoobs: I'll give all of you who weren't there a hint of who took the pictures ...it rhymes with shameless

SOMMS: I knew it was Tink!

Old Spice is my friend Crazy Dave's fragrance of choice for the boy bars. I guess there is something about the smell of stale beer, cigarette smoke and Old Spice that drives men crazy. He always gets laid when he wears it.

Hmmm...good to know.

Wow-- Soap on a Rope! That really should make a come back. I'd think it would be a big hit in the Gyms.

I think I had Brut soap on a rope in high school. English Leather truly was dreamy.

Of course, there is SOMETHING about an Aqua Velva man!

Anyone remember the cheesy CANOE ads?

Ahhh! Canoe! I think THAT might have been the one I loved that smelled like Jujyfruits! "Can you Canoe?" indeed!

I saw the Bruce Campbell add last night, too, and I actually thought it was hilarious. It was just so off and bizarre that I found it awfully funny. But I happen to be a Bruce Campbell fan, so perhaps that's why I liked it.

And, Craig, get out of my head! I was just about to post about Canoe! But it always sounded like, "Can oo Canoe?" to me.

Apparently, Proctor and Gamble decided to go after the kiddie porn enthusiasts:

That was from the "Olden days"--maybe early 70's? Old Spice certainly was sold more to people buying it for Dad than anyone buying it for himself. I remember it topping a poll for the "Least desireable gift."

Old Spice was ahead of it's time, advertising to a gay audience:

ALERT: LADIES MAY NOT WANT TO READ THIS
My pharmicist told me to use OS after shave for jock itch, and it works! Just apply to the affected area (you know where) and it stings like hell for about 5 seconds and you get relief.

you could stop shaving there. re: Old Spice is Baaaaaack

I have NEVER met Cheyenne Jackson. I have never hung out with him in his dressing room, he did not tweet me, he never bought me a beverage, and he mostly certainly didn't tickle me. . .that is all.

Rosie O'Donnell said to let the dog lick you there. I'm going to stick with her idea. It doesn't sting at all.

Barbara, please, it makes you smell like Hollywood Royalty, even if you can't land the king of the soft drink world.

Faye: Why don't you treat me with the respect I deserve?

Tina: Because you're hawking OLD SPICE!

Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)

My favorite scent used to be Jovan's Grass Oil for Men (when it was in a square bottle and had the color of lime kool-aid).

I sometimes use Old Spice, but if I do use a scent, it's usually Bay Rum.

"I was a cheap-o Brut boy as a kid."

That brings back memories. My brother got it for Christmas one year. I got Pierre Cardin cologne. Then I grew up, went to college and started wearing Polo or Gray Flannel.

The man that lived next door to us always wore Old Spice. His kids were always over at our house and I think that's why.
