Glad you are having fun! I did like the dna thing. That was kind of cool how that came together. The parade was also interesting with the movements. They seemed so mechanized i guess would be the word. I hope you have a blast these next two weeks.

It sounds INCREDIBLE! It's great having our own 'insider'. Keep posting and let us know how everything's going. (Especially the behind-the-scenes feel of the place.)

The continuous commentary--and the numerous commercial--did bother me. In fact, during one commercial break I shut the thing off.
Do we need conversation during the musical interludes? What spectacle did we miss because of a commercial break? Why did the camera focus on some things and not others? Television sucks. I wished I was there to experience it first-hand.
Thank you my good friend etoile and everyone !! I am assigned to Lithuania and i am very happy because they are wonderful people and they treat us awesomely !! Told us we could invite our friends to see the Village ( which is NOT allowed, unless the chief of mission permits it) and also if we need tickets for any event we can just tell them and they will offer us their complimentary ones !! Not a lot of gorgeous hunks, but great people, all of them, athletes and officials !!! The British are also treating their volunteers fantastically !! Word on the Village is that the most arrogant and snobbish delegation are the Australians and I am devastated because I really like them and thought they were joyful and great spirited !! Oh, well ... The USA are a little snobbish but very well mannered and polite. Italians, Spaniards, Portuegese and Latin Americans are the favorites on the Village, because their free spirited mentality is very similiar to ours !!!
