#1 SEX AND THE CITY..... LEAVE MY FRIEND ALONE.

Sometimes my life feels like a Sex and The City episode. I am happy to report after a long dry spell I am dating again. A guy I dated briefly but always liked in College found me after over a decade and asked if I was me. It was hysterical and exciting. We are indeed dating again and we have chemistry. I will take it one day at a time but it is incredible to feel that spark as I have not in a very long time.
This Weekend he came to visit me which is difficult as he lives 4 hours from the City. We are having a wonderful time but something crazy happened. Last night, after we lost the HAIRSPRAY lotto, I took him to one of my favorite hangouts. We are sitting at a table holding hands and having wonderful conversation when a man at the next table was flirting with my date. It was wild. I ignored it because he was my date and he is straight but it bothered me.
When your date is as handsome as mine will I always have to worry that both sexes will flirt with him? What would Carrie Bradshaw do in a time like this. Was I suppossed to combat the Queen or ignore him? I pretended like he was not doing it but the next time, SISTER WATCH OUT BECAUSE YOU ARE GOING DOWN! I still have a cane and I can use it.
So, we are not going to try and win that Liza lottery today. We will be trying for HAIRSPRAY one more time and if any of you gays try to hit on my man watch out. You are going down.

Sueleen, dear....and I say this with love...you need to stop hanging on the Corner. It's starting to take its toll.

Let's see, Weekend is incorrectly capitalized in both posts so it's not that....
Hey, flitty, you had better watch out or the gay (not manly)queens will be coming for YOUR man!
#1 has three paragraphs and #2 has four
It's the brief mention of royalty in the first version.....

Beat me to it, Bway.
Also, supposed is spelled correctly in the second.
Good catch.
So, she removed the offensive use of the word "queens" but it's still acceptable to use "you gays" and refer to some unnamed guy as, "SISTER?" Any why is it more bothersome for one of the gays or sisters to hit on her man than any other random female?

Like many people, Corine probably feels as if she "gets" to use words like "queen" and phrases like "you gays" because there are many gay men she considers friends and has had crushes on lots and lots and lots of gay men in the past. It doesn't seem inappropriate to her because she doesn't realize she's an outsider to the group, inside members of which use such lingo all the time, so shy shouldn't she?
It would be similar to me suddenly referring to Corine as a Jewess, intended affectionately. Whether or not I am Jewish isn't even the point, I'm not a Jewish lady and shouldn't go tossing around the word "Jewess" even if some of my best friends are Jewish women.
I hope that clears up the confusion.
Well, I called used to call my friend a fag, but he called me a dyke. It was affectionate and just between us. I would never consider calling a gay man that if I didn't know him and I might punch a stranger who called me that.
I was once known as "The Jaded Jewess"...but that was many years ago.

Is that because some people got it and give it away, PalJoey?
