There is really nothing to get over and it's not really a case of being "PC"... the term you think was humorous is offensive. Your inital posts had no indication whatsoever of your later explanation. "OH, for the love of G-D. " "funny. I didn't realize Brooks was Jewish until the reviewer told me eight times in his rejew. " Margo, I can't wait to see your reaction when Pippin comes up with a "humorous" term for a review(er)from a magazine that represents your community.

Pippin, I am curious as to why you reacted the way you did. It seems a little excessive. Jewish Week is a respected newspaper for the Jewish Community and often reviews theatre pieces. Is it so strange that they would review the newest offering by a prominent member of their community? I also suggest you re-read the article as to your word count in respect to Mr. Brooks. The term you used to describe the article is disgusting and anti-semetic.

It was a wonderful performance and the audience was fantastic. The only thing that was more fabulous than Patti's thunderous ovation at the end..... was Stephen Sondheim's and Arthur Laurent's when they hit the stage at the end. It was incredible. The appreciation that the audience had for the entire company overwhelmed even the cast. Patti took a camera and took pics of the audience at the end. The ovation went on for a very long time. A lovely evening at the theatre

vfd - the original run of the play won several Best Play, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Featured Actor and.... I also absolutely love the "connection" to Company (aside from Raul).
