Fool me once, Blair Witch Project, shame on you. Fool me twice, Open Water, shame... um... unshame upon...
Anyway, I decided to pass.

Posted: 8/10/04 at 12:24amand, I liked Blair Witch--thought it was rather scary and fun (I saw it before the hype). I just hate it when reviewers get all horny over a film--and it turns out to be quite a yawnfest.

Posted: 8/10/04 at 12:25amTHE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT was without a doubt the worst film I've ever had to endure. There was absolutely nothing scary, much less entertaining about it. It was a pathetic attempt at making a movie. The marketing campaign behind it however, was brilliant.

you see--a woman (shock) naked. The guy (who is HOT) didn't have to show anything.
It didn't think the movie was particularly scary at all. Maybe others will be entertained by it--but it just didn't cut it for me.

Posted: 8/10/04 at 11:32amthe idea of seeing open water scares me. I was traumatized by Jaws and my father when I was young.... even as late as last year, I was nervous going into the ocean... so......

Posted: 8/10/04 at 11:56amI have a feeling it's going to be one of those movies that critics love because it's a quiet "horror" film and it takes it time and is more about fear than anything else. Movie-goers will hate it because it doesn't deliver the scares (The Village, anyone?).

Posted: 8/10/04 at 11:58amI think the Village would have done a lot better if they would have just been honest about what kind of film they were putting out.

Posted: 8/10/04 at 1:11pmand that is the thing---I love when thrillers take their time and build psychological fear. It just so happens that for this film, the emperor has no clothes.

Posted: 8/10/04 at 1:52pmThis hasn't made it to glorious Ohio yet but, as I'm absolutely petrified of the ocean, I'm looking forward to seeing it. Updated On: 8/10/04 at 01:52 PM

Posted: 8/10/04 at 1:54pmI also loved Blair Witch. I was in Europe that summer and missed all the hype and saw it when I came back. It was fun and creepy without the gore. I still like to watch it.
