A prima donna at La Scala for nearly thirty years, "La Diva Turca" died yesterday in Milan of respiratory illness and cardiac failure. A funeral is being held Monday at La Scala.
A very interesting artist who--surprisingly--never sang at the Met. Rest in peace.
