Opinions on the Droid?

So since again it will be a while before verizon gets the Iphone.. and since I refuse to get the inferior at&T service... has anyone gotten the Droid? I would be interested in any opinions.

I am looking at this one specifically.

My boss switched from the iPhone with AT&T to the Droid with Verizon because his iPhone service kept dropping his calls. He loves the Droid now. My other boss refuses to leave AT&T and just pre-ordered the new iPhone. I've a feeling he may not be happy with the service since the problems we had service-wise with AT&T were only on the iPhone and not the Blackberry. Hopefully, the new iPhone will be better.

I have a Blackberry 8330 curve right now. I have never had any problems with it. The track ball on it has stuck..and they have replaced it immediately. But that is about it. However.. it is very simple and has no wifi.

I'm up for a new phone in August. Ihave the Dare and my friend just upgraded to the Droid from a Dare and she really likes teh Droid.

2 co-workers just got the Incredible Droid and LOVE it!!!! They seem to be having loads of fun with them. So far they have not experienced any problems with dropped calls or any of the apps. Supposedly they gave the Droid to some iPhone users to test out and they refused to go back to the iPhone after using the Incredible Droid. Tomato-Tomato

Good to hear. Thank you. I was also wondering about it's compatibility with Apple computers. Trying to do a little on line researching but I can't find anything official.

I have the save Blackberry Curve and I have the same Droid on order. I should be getting it late next week. I'll let you know how it works for me.

Although I don't have a MAC...

Dame, I know there's now an app for the Droid which will help you get your iTunes onto the Droid.

I have an HTC phone with the Android operating system. I like it. The e-mail does crash more than it should. The messaging, phone, camera, etc. work well. And I LOVE bubblebreaker.

My ex got one. he isn't much in to cell phones or all of the bells and whistles that come with them. He uses it primarily for work. He is addicted to this thing now! I have played with it a bit and it is pretty cool. He showed me the app where he held it up in a bar we were in and the phone picked up the song that was playing on the video screens, showed the name of the song, group, album and where to buy it. He is currently on vacation and is using it constantly to find hotels (He is traveling across country) and even to look at real estate.

BB - it is the Google Phone. This thread prompted me to dowload the K-9 mail from market. I could not empty the trash folder in the android mail app and it would crash.
