Sooo...just who IS this mysterious blogger who had "a career dating back to the mid-80's...involved in management on Broadway as well as a major US city"? (Is that major city Xenia, Ohio?)

Who also "worked for a very prominent non-profit theatre company in New York, has sat on non-profit theatre boards, as well as theatrical union boards" and "has been involved with Broadway, Off-Broadway, and touring productions"?

Whose "spouse who still maintains deep friendships with many members of the theatrical industry"? (note the word spouse, not wife, though he apparently has nothing against the homophobic commentary his blog readers generate)

Who says later on in the blog that he went to school with one of the cast members of "The Royal Family"? (oops! top rule when you want to be an anonymous fireball-thrower -- divulge NO personal information whatsoever!)

Well if seeing a liberal behind every tree was gold, he'd be billionaire. It's amazing to see theater refracted through the prism of "Is it a RIGHT Wing show or a LEFT wing show?"

Although it's a bit odd he writes about theater and politics and the intersection there of...and doesn't comment on Ragtime?

I love his Tony predictions from earlier this year.

â??Billy Elliotâ?? is this yearâ??s behemoth. It is HUGELY popular and the clear favorite. Not only is it doing great business and is wildly entertaining, but it has a huge â??X factorâ?? going for it that always helps a show win a Tony Award: It has gay themes. Any musical that focuses on gay issues and has a storyline about characters who strive for acceptance in a stereotypical conservative community always wins â?¦ always.

By golly, he's right! Just like In the Heights...wait, no...well, Spring Awakening had a gay character who was comic relief, just like Billy, but, uh...Jersey Boys! There was a really minor gay character in that, right? That's focusing on gay issues....uh....no, that's not it...gay was a punchline in Spamalot...as it was in Avenue Q...and The Producers...Hairspray Millie Contact Fosse Lion King Titanic...wait, Rent won in 1996, dammit! So there. That makes an indisputable trend.

I also love that one of his points of fury is that there is a Dan Rather-Not but no Brittle Hume.

When I was a kid watching it, I knew who Polly Darton was before I knew who Dolly Parton was.
