Out U.S. Rep. Tammy Baldwin, D-Wis., is one of 16 honorary co-chairs for President-elect Barack Obama's inauguration; the list also includes former Presidents Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush and Jimmy Carter. The invitation reportedly was extended several weeks before the recent flap over the selection of evangelical minister Rick Warren to give the inaugural invocation.

Yeah Tammy's been one of 6 or 7 co-chairs for a while now.
The belated announcement is part of the damage control the Warren and Obama camps are engaging in.
Like this TMZ story about Rick Warren's bridge-building trip to West Hollywood yesterday. He hugged a boy in the out of the Closet thrift shop and bought some of his own used books there. ("No, honey, I'm just driving up to West Hollywood to go to a thrift store and build some bridges. I'm not going back to that dark place again, I promise you, praise the Lord.")
