Posted: 10/5/14 at 11:39amWho else has seen the new Matthew Warchus feature about the gay group from London supporting a village of Welsh miners in 1984? Turns out to be crazy good, despite really cliche-ridden trailers that had us vowing to skip the movie when we first saw them. Super high Rotten Tomatoes/ Metacritic scores (93 and 81) got us into the theater and we're so glad we did. Incredibly emotional but in a truthful way, great casting, startlingly good design for such a small budget-feature, we were awash in tears that were honestly earned. Just so well-done all around.

Someone in a Tree2 - I loved this movie. I didn't have a problem with the trailer, apart from it being yet another trailer which shows far too many scenes and leaves me feeling I have seen the whole movie!
It was a great film, funny, sad and uplifting. There is a clip on Youtube that shows the original documentary on which the film is based. It features some of the real life people from the film. If I can find it I will post a link.
On another site some idiot asked "Do I have to be gay to enjoy this movie?"
The reply "No and you don't have to be a miner either"
