Painting My Bathroom - Need Color Advice

I'm painting my bathroom for the first time. It's been white since I moved in two years ago.
I've decided on pink. The question is: which pink?
I've narrowed it down to two:
(This picture is not actually of my bathroom, it's just an example from the paint website.)
"True Pink" (Border: "Berry Wine")
"Spring Azalea" (Border: "Berry Wine")
Advice on one or the other?
Thanks, guys.

The first one.
And paint your ceiling a deep brown.

Warning: my parents are in the process of selling their house. They keep getting feedback from potential buyers who hate the pink master bathroom. So now they're painting it beige. Just know that a pink bathroom in theory is sometimes better than in reality.
That said, I prefer the first picture. The second doesn't even look like pink. It looks like a weird lavender/pink blend. Like a raspberry smoothie.

Wannabe-I like both colors but in those photos they are too intense to live with. I'd choose either one, but have some white added.

Careful, Wanna! When you apply it to your wall, the color will actually be BRIGHTER than what you see in the photo. I just went through the same thing with my kitchen.
We wound up buying one color, trying it, hating it and buying a "darker," more muted shade which gave us the effect we had thought we would get with the first color. That's why, of the two you presented, I would go with the first one. The other one will scream at you every morning, and who needs that?

Posted: 10/13/07 at 12:12pmWarning: depending on how small your bathroom is, that strong shade of pink (the first one) can make you feel like you're inside a bottle of PeptoBismal. In small spaces, lighter is better.

Hon-as Bluemoon and Elph are saying - is your bathroom as large and bright as the one in the photo? Making the colors lighter and more pastel-like will not darken the room and not overwhelm you with color. Keep that in mind.

That second one has a little too much purple in it for me. My personal taste would have it go a little lighter:
The truth is that I like dark colors in everybody else's homes, but light shades in my own! (Go figure!). The odds are very strong that I will NEVER see the inside of your bathroom, so you have to go with something that you like. It's also true that paint doesn't cost an arm and a leg. If one doesn't work - try another.

Brown walls would be more functional, especially after a mexican meal.

Posted: 10/13/07 at 7:14pmMaybe paint one wall pink, and balance the rest of the walls with a warm neutral, especially if you are painting a smallish room. . Do you have a window in your bathroom? Natural light will also make a color look different depending on the time of day. If you have an internal bathroom, you can totally control the lighting to bring out the tones you want.

Thanks for all of the words of advice, guys.
My bathroom is small -- not as small as I've seen in some NYC apartments, but not as large as I had in my house growing up in the country -- but medium-small.
There is a full tub shower, as opposed to a stall shower, so in that regard it is spacious.
In regard to Mamie's comment on adding some white, let me say that from the floor through half way up the wall is all bright white tile. That goes for the shower and the tub as well. All bright white.
So essentially I'm painting the top half of the wall, the ceiling, the door (which I was going to do in that darker pink for some contrast), and this built-in cabinet that has been there since the apartment was built a long time ago, pre-war. I was going to do that cabinet the same dark pink that I was doing the door in.
In addition, there is a white pedestal sink, and a white medicine cabinet with mirror that hanging on the wall above the sink, along with another matching white cabinet with glass doors on the adjacent wall.
The toilet is also bright white, and the floor is covered in bright white tile. So, regardless of what color I paint the wall and the ceiling, at least half of the bathroom is going to already be white.
In regard to the Pepto-Bismol thought, it was something I had considered, but the second photo actually reminded me more of Pepto than the first.
miss pennywise, I went and picked up a paint chip of each color at the Benjamin Moore store today to make sure the actual color wouldn't be too bright, and it seems like I should be safe with that first pink. The second one might be too bright, so thanks for pointing that out for me.
In terms of the ceiling, americanboy99, what made you think of brown, just out of curiousity? I made an image on the Benjamin Moore site with the pinks I want to use and a brown ceiling, and this is what it looks like. I know there is not much ceiling in the picture, but that's all they give me to work with. What do you think? Do you guys have any other suggestions for ceiling colors?

If you notice in the photo, there is a border of a lighter pink surrounding some of the darker pink, which softens it a bit. I wonder if you have any areas you can use that effect on.
p.s. I like the dark brown accent!
