Huh.
Well, that was just like having a nozzle of Estee Lauder scent sprayed directly up one's nostrils at point blank range.

Wow. How can they claim that's fake?
why arent they talking about this with the same gusto they discussed Rev Wright? why arent they discussing her pastor with the same gusto they discussed rev wright??
grrrrrr @ the media!!
This woman just absolutely reeks "lightweight" to me (that and Estee Lauder). I think Biden is going to tear her to shreds in the debates.

And then people who've never given a crap about sexism in their lives will inform anybody with a microphone how sexist it is, BB.
namo is absolutely correct. my father-in-law, the most obnoxious self-proclaimed right win nut job, has expressed several times to me that women should NOT hold office. he laughed when the old lady asked McCain "how do we get the bitch?"... and when HRC was running he often made sexist jokes and jabs at how she wouldnt be able to do anything because she has PMS 24 hours a day.
now, he LOVES sarah palin! oh my god, she's such a "firecracker!", she's got such "spunk"... for comparisson, he says michelle obama looks "really angry" and needs to "learn to keep her mouth shut".
but palin's got spunk!
his new thing is that the media is sexist towards palin! and that its not fair to her. they treat her differently. its so ****ing phony its no wonder people really hate republicans.

She's got spunk.
I hate Spunk.
Yes, yes I know. Nerve.com is hardly the place to go to for deep meaningful, inside scoops but they do have a reporter there, covering the convention. An excerpt:
"Meanwhile, just to throw in some insider gossip: sources inside the convention are telling us that although, at least publicly, Sarah Palin is still defended to the death by the Republican Party, the campaign is considering asking her to withdraw sometime next week. As far as the election and the ballot goes, an RNC point person told us privately that since "we make the rules, we can change them to accommodate a switched running mate."
The change would be announced as due to "family obligations," of course, but the Republicans would release talking points saying sexist and mean-spirited liberals, especially in the blogosphere, would be blamed..."

That's what I would do if I were them- you get a double bonus of a GOOD running mate AND loads of sympathy for the ticket.
I think he's stuck with her. As bad a pick as it is, dropping her would seem too desperate. They could have used the unwed teen daughter being pregnant, but they've sworn she was fully vetted and they knew about the pregnancy.
Let them turn try to turn her into a spunk tough gal. They have do something for the next two months.
But despite what Republican officials are saying publicly, and despite partisan parrots like your father-inlaw, pab, the "base" was not enthused about McCain and it's not going to get enthused over Palin.
So let them spin however they want. Obama-Biden will win in a landslide.

McCain has experience dropping women.
"McCain has experience dropping women."
Yes, but only for a hot young heiress, and we know Paris has no interest in being on his ticket.
The RW adore her and act as if we are crazy for not welcoming her with open arms. I don't think she is going away either.
